Body shaming and relationships

Recently there has been a lot of noise about one of the actresses out here, having put on lot of weight post childbirth. I suppose it is the pregnancy weight, she has yet to lose.
My fairy tale romantic mind wanted her husband to stand up and defend her saying well, I love her as she is...and she is mine so mind your business.
Nothing sort of happened.
Celebrity or not, who gives outsiders a right to comment. And it may actually make the spouse feel OMG...did I make a bad bargain? He may or not have realized it, but outsiders sure made him realize it.
The girl was pretty and will soon be.
I have never been pregnant, but I do understand that it is not an easy process. The lady tires with constant cries of the baby. She needs a break...till the child can be on her or his own. Not that it is wrong even beyond. Everyone should be comfortable in their skin.
What say you?

well, these discussions in public is the flipside of being a celebrity...and trust me, nobody cares, there will be few online trollers who will pick up certain topics to gain traction...other than that, you and me, and other commoners are too engrossed with our life's problem, who is growing fair or darker, thin or fat etc etc...helps no one...indulging in such discussions, actually gives mileage to the initiator...

I have seen this happening in media.
Celebrities are used to such noise.
Now to the matter of the husband not standing up, I am not very sure.
These days, celebrities also let the noise inch up for a few weeks so as to be in the limelight.
And well, often couples are not as happy amongst themselves as made out in media.
It is something that we from public might not guess correctly each time.
I just watch and enjoy movies and not bother much about what the actors or stars do in the real life.

The least he could have done was give a doting hug to her in public, held her close...that would tell people he cares for her however she is.
I am facing some health issues...yes, but I am told somebody is targeting me. So I need to keep low profile. There is an upcoming surgery on 28th. Nothing major. How have you been Anna?

This body shaming stuff really gets to me, its so unfair especially right after having a baby. She's dealing with enough already without strangers commenting on her weight. Totally agree everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin, pregnant or not.

I guess it is their right to comment on things online. But there is such a thing as decency and respect for others. People today can sure be mean. I think anyone who is mean to someone in the way you describe should be shunned from the group. If they can't be nice, they shouldn't be around.
Yes, everyone should be comfortable in their skin.
