Firefighters help deliver a baby in a front yard in South Carolina

Greenville South Carolina residents Anna and Bryan Kingery went to the Greenville Fire Department recently to personally thank Greenville medical specialist Daniel Pronk and firefighter Dan Wilder who help deliver an infant named Cooper over the summer in the front yard.
Anna was in labor with her third child when she realized that she could not get to the hospital in time when Bryan called 911 to ask for firefighters to come and help deliver their child.
The firefighters had assistance from their Quick Response Vehicle that were staffed by Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and paramedics to deliver the infant who is healthy.
Three cheers for the firefighters who delivered a baby in the front yard and the parents of the child personally thank the firefighters for doing their job to serve their community.

Oh, my. I know I wouldn't have wanted to do that, but it doesn't sound like she had a choice. I worked with a young woman who had her baby in the car while her husband was driving her to the hospital--it was her 4th baby, and she gave birth amazingly fast. But here if you have your baby en route to a hospital or in a strange place, they put the mother and the baby in isolation for a day or two, to ensure they are ok.

Wow! Once a baby is ready there is no waiting to get to the hospital. Glad the little person is healthy.

i watched on youtube how a husban helped wife to deliver the baby in front of their garage and er came only later but they came, wow, what a story. this one too!
