Does your tap water taste funny after it rains?

I’ve talked about how bad my tap water tastes at my apartment complex. No one here drinks it if they can help it (we attribute it to the pipes since I share the same water source as my dad and his is fine). So I buy bottled water (yes, I recycle the bottles) except for near the end of the month when money is very tight. Only, I’ve noticed after it rains (like it did today) that the water tastes even worse. So, I was wondering, does your water taste funny after it rains?
*I’ve actually taken it to the city to be tested since they do it for free. The water also breaks my skin out in a rash, but apparently I’ll never know why.
Showers are an adventure!

I don't know, in the Philippines you can't drink water from the faucet, though it looks clean, it is not for drinking. But back in the 80s we can just drink water from the faucet.

@AmbiePam I don't know I am too young then, but the best asnwer its not healthy to drink, other companies released products for filtering water to make it drinkable. But I think 90s the mineral water stores were coming in and until now all of us are buying mineral water from nearest stores.

My relatives and myself like drinking water from plastic bottles instead of drinking tap water.

There is something wrong especially if it's worse after a rain

I have told you to get me measurements so I can help you with a water softener and filter.
LOL. I have to be pretty desperate to drink straight tap water. Most of my water drinking is bottle,s or through my filtered bottle.

I never noticed. Pretty sure there are some kind of containments in the water though. It used to taste wonderful now .not so much. I should get a Brita filter. Container .but that is another thing that would sit around.

@AmbiePam I would rather buy bottled honestly, which I do sometimes.

The Mister buys bottled water so I rarely drink any from the tap. I do know that the water at the caravan tastes better than ours at home. No idea if the taste changes after rain …..that’s something I will have to check.

Our tap water tastes fine, though we have started buying bottled water because my husband prefers it. I just like water to be really cold lol.
But sorry to hear the water causes those issues. Interesting that it tastes different (funny) after it rains

@AmbiePam That does help for sure, gets it nice and cold.
We usually try to put a good amount in the fridge for the next day; if we forget then it goes in the freezer
