I am going to try something different tonight

I went to yoga last evening, and I won't be going back...Just because it was a real hassle driving back here in the dark. I thought when I signed up, it was going to be at the rec center which is a lot closer to me, but it was on the other side of the bigger town, dark when I left..and the street is weird and pulls out into cross traffic. I almost got hit. I hate driving here after dark because no street lights, and so many people have trucks here, they shine their bright lights into your vehicle being very distracting. Also, this time of the year deer are mating, and tend to pop out.
However, now that I have complained, I slept like an extra hour last night the yoga made a difference. So I am going to do some bedtime yoga tonight which is on YouTube. Maybe I will get good results. It won't be nearly as strenous as the class, but relaxation is what I am after.

You really should. It is so good for your body, and as you age, your body loses flexibility and balance. It helps with those too.

Who needs going to class if you can follow a video and get the same results.

I don't know if it will be the same results. I haven't tried it yet. There is a social aspect of going to a class too. I spend enough time in these walls.

I am sorry it is too far away to go, since it seems beneficial. I totally get it about not wanting to drive much or any after dark.

It just seems like an unnecessary risk.

It really did. I also took a bath before bed, so between the two I was probably quite relaxed when I went to bed.

I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work out, but with the distance and the lack of lighting I think I would do my yoga at home, too. Hey, it saves gas and wear and tear on your car, too!

It’s suddenly got dark at night here too. Like you I don’t like driving in the dark, as the oncoming lights dazzle me, and I find I’m just guessing where the road is. Dangerous! I believe the led lights are blamed for it.
I do very little exercise these days, and find even lifting my eyelids quite a challenge. Sometimes only a loud snore forces them open.

Doing it at home sounds like a good idea.

I was about to suggest finding some yoga on YouTube.

The yoga I do is very gentle and stress-free. We'd all be at least 60+ and our instructor seems a bit scared we might damage ourselves so is always telling us to stop of it hurts or whatever. It's probably more like exercise for seniors. YouTube might be the way to go for you. It's a shame it's so hard to get to and from your class.

I’m still toying with the idea of trying a yoga class close to me probably chair yoga. I absolutely will not get down on the floor on a mat.

Chair yoga would be the best for you then probably.

Yeah, I tried it last night, but I went to bed later than usual and was tired so couldn't do much of the routine.
