I think I’m being forced to give in…

I’m giving in to paying full price for my allergy medicine. I wrote once about how pharmacies around here have been back ordered for months on the generic version of my allergy medicine. But I itch so much from allergies lately, I’m giving in. I’ve been blessed by a friend actually sending me some money, so I can afford to buy it now without it hurting my pocketbook. Because this itching is for the birds.
How are your allergies today?

I'm glad my allergy meds aren't expensive and Medicaid covers it for me. If you don't mind me asking, have you contacted the factory that manufactures the generic version and ask them if they can help you with the price of it? I had to do that back when my epi-pens were $600. They agreed to pay $300 of it for me. (That was still expensive but I was working then so I could afford it back then.)

I guess you need relief. I don't have any specific allergies..but there are things I react to from time to time. I don't need or take meds though.

@AmbiePam Why don't you just take one and see how it goes..when you manage to get your hands on one anyway.
. You take quite a few meds as it is, at least you seem to.

If you were closer I would share my Claritin Hoard with you. I had bad allergies last year and so we stocked up. I haven't had to take it as much this year.

The harvest season is winding down somewhat here but clouds of grain dust and debris are literally hanging over the city and entire area. I sneeze and my eyes water…I am so ready for it to be over with! I’m sorry about the cost of the medicine. Son was prescribed one yesterday that I couldn’t pick up until today, since we got back home so late in the evening. It was not covered by insurance…a huge ouch.

I feel like someone out there has got to be making a LOT of money...more and more things are not covered.

I used to have to take Zyrtec-D daily but then I wound up with high blood pressure so I had to stop. . . and then the need for it just went away. The only allergies I deal with these days is to cats (go figure) and I wind up with itchy and red eyes if I touch my face after petting them.
