Getting hair done is expensive

My Turkish hairstylist used to charge $245 for hair color and highlights, haircut, and blowout. After he moved to a different location, he now charges $265 for the same thing. And then I usually give him a $5 tip.
When my neighbor suggested, I go to her Chinese hair salon I decided to give it a try. It ended up costing me $235 for all that, plus $5 tip for the lady that colored my hair and $5 tip for the lady that gave me a cut and a blowout. I thought it was gonna cost me much less money. That was the main reason I agreed to go.
I can’t say that I was thrilled with the way my new hair turned out, but at least all the gray is gone (for now).
What I spent at the Chinese hair salon is not that much of a difference from what my Turkish guy charges. I think I’d rather stick with him. He does a much better job in my opinion.

No way could I ever pay that, even if I had that much to spend on hair, I wouldn't. I would just go for the cut and that's it. The rest can be done at home, at least it could here.

Why? And the Turkish guy owns the salon. Also, 20% of 265 is $53. That’s an insane tip. This is not a restaurant.

It’s a $30 diff not counting tip. If it was a much bigger diff it would make sense to stick with the Chinese hair salon.

That’s a lot of money to spend on hair. I’m glad I don’t have that expense. I’d be looking elsewhere for somewhere $100 or less. Men’s haircuts here are around a tenner.

Well that comfirms it for the rest of my life I will not be seeing a hairdresser not that I even want to . My hair took a strange turn, When I came to Florida I was used to coloring it myself in auburn, Then I chose to save money and sotpped coloring, I was thinking ,y hair would turn white as it did for my grandma, Instead i have a patch of white up front in my bangs and the rest is my old chilhood mousy brown,

I have long, fine hair and only ever get a couple of inches chopped off. A lady comes to the house and does it and it costs me $35.

If I do a wash, cut, and blowout it’s usually in the $60s, which is a lot.

Stay with the Turkish hairdresser if the work done is very good.

Yes, hair coloring is very expensive. Are you sure you’re tipping The right amount. I thought it was supposed to be 20% of the total
