US people, have you voted yet?

I decided not to vote via mail service. Why? Because I just can't trust it here. We never know when, or IF, something will be delivered. That left the options of early voting or waiting until the day to vote, which is Tuesday, November 3rd.
Before son had his eye surgery, I had a friend come over and went to vote. I got there and discovered they had moved the voting place at the last minute due to unexpected road construction, it was going to take too long to get there, so I went home. I went today and did my early voting thing. I was surprised--usually early voting is not that busy. But it actually was! I knew one of the election workers, she was a neighbor once and then bought a new house,I hadn't seen her lately. She said they have been surprised at the good turnout so far.
So yes, I voted! Have you?

@MarieCoyle I went to bed very early and never got around to baking what I needed to so I have coconut muffins in the oven right now.

I thought of that. The only bad thing about that plan is that it’s going to be a very long day. Maybe even a three cups of coffee day.

That’s right—if everyone said their vote didn’t count, then eventually no one would bother to vote at all. I choose to vote!

@MarieCoyle It's compulsory here but some people give invalid votes.

I was brought up that everyone was expected to vote. But I’ve met a few people over the years who say they’ve never bothered to even register to vote. It never ceases to amaze me that they don’t vote.

My grandson and I have our ballots sent to us so we got ours very early. I think they were both back in the mail by October 10th. This is such an important election I sure hope people get out and vote.
