Has it started to get to you yet?

I’m having a hard time not wanting to go to bed too early now that the sun starts to set (here) at 5pm. If I go to bed early I end up waking up throughout the night, and ending up worse off the next day. My best friend loved that extra hour of sleep Sunday (she’s a nurse), but she’s hating to drive home so far in the dark. I loved how cool and sunny it was this morning, but this afternoon it became overcast, and now it’s raining heavily. Which is good for when you actually need to go to bed. You’d think the (American) football game would be enough to keep me awake tonight, but I don’t think so. I know it’s bad when even sports can’t keep me awake! *picture of Sadie’s tail hanging out of her blanket because she’ll sleep no matter what!

We need to take a lesson from the dogs. Sleep, no matter what! The funny thing is, I am actually going to bed later instead of earlier this week.

I’m impressed! I’ve tried so many things short of caffeine pills to stay awake longer.

@AmbiePam — the one thing that will keep me awake longer than anything is to go on one of those rabbit hole research trips that I always seem to find it 2 AM on the Internet.

Yes but it’s still too warm for my liking and it rained here like it did there.

This stupid drizzle that doesn't hardly even wet the ground is not pleasant. I want a pitter-patter rain, all night!

I guess I’m officially a zombie after my long-haul flight—my brain has no idea when it’s supposed to sleep or be awake thanks to that 12-hour time difference. Mornings feel like a caffeine-free horror movie, and nights are just me staring at the ceiling like an over-caffeinated owl. Hopefully, my body will get the memo soon and figure out when it’s bedtime and when it’s not!

Bless your heart, that does sound absolutely miserable. I hope you are able to adjust quickly.

I love the fact that you put on a photo of Sadie’s tail ……it made me chuckle …

I saw that little tail and had to take a picture. Sometimes I do that when all I can see is her snout.

I like driving to work with some light since I leave here at like 6:30am. I hate it getting dark early though.

I am glad that I am not the only one to prefer to have more light in the morning.

Sadie is so cute, the way she likes blankets. No, it hasn't bothered me too much yet. If sports can't keep you awake, you must be really tired!

Yes, you know me, Marie! If sports can’t do it, what possibly could?

Cute little Sadie, dogs know better when it's time to sleep. As the cooler days come I become lazy in the evening. I was invited to dine out yesterday evening, but it was a pain to stay up until 10:30 pm

At this point in my life, staying up until 10:30pm sounds like an impossible task. And I used to be up far after midnight.

@AmbiePam - I used to stay up later, but recently by 9:30 I am in bed reading a book. It was very hard yesterday evening.

You need to cover up that little tail. It might get cold.

It is hard for me to go to bed early at night these days with the sun going down at 5 pm.

Sorry that it affects you that way. I don't think it really does for me, except hating that it gets dark so early now. I like the light in the morning when I take my son to school, but know it won't last too long.

@AmbiePam but not sure it is worth the trade off of it getting dark so early in the evening

The states of Arizona and Hawaii don’t turn back their clocks like the rest of America, and I’m thinking my state should follow their lead!
