Yes and it drives me crazy. Most people misspell my traditional name. This might seem harsh, but I would not want a gift from a person I don't like especially if it is a happy occasion like a wedding, birth of a child, bridal shower etc. Because I feel this way, myself in turn would not give a gift knowingly to a person who dislikes me. That is rude and unacceptable. Its like someone talking very loudly in the ICU unit or a funeral service or in church. this are places that have the unwritten rule of silence no matter how pissed off you are. It is even worse in the library because that rule is written and known to everyone.
