A great, great idea is to get a huge plastic tub (you can use a cardboard box, but it'll be messier) and dump in rice. Cheap-o brand rice is fine, especially since, depending on how many you have and how big a tub you get, you might need a lot. Just dump all that rice into the tub. Throw in some toys, maybe a jingle ball or two, and let them go crazy in there. Make sure the rice is deep enough...
