I don't. I have never been on to be on the phone for hours on end or call someone with each and every little tibit of my life. I have a land line at home...and a cell phone which I hardly use. I prefer to email or IM. My sister in law is the same but my sisters talk to each other everyday! So what do you like to do? Talk on the phone or email or IM for communications?

Oh I love to talk on the phone. I have sat talking to a friend only too realize hours had passed and yet it seemed so little. I talk to my mom almost everyday. Even me and my hubby usually talk while hes on the road coming home.

Yeah and you seldom call me to chit chat. But then the way we both are we'd either end up arguing or never shutting up. hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM DADDY !!~

well, i'm not a kind of person who loved to talk on the phone, i prefer face to face discussion, i like to watch other people's expression when they are talking to me directly. as a matter of fact, i need to know whether they lie on subject discussed or not..:) beside, talking on the phone could harm our ears, isn't it right? and eventhough we can pick the late time for cheaper call cost, still we have to pay some money, right?

If our girls call, I will take the time to talk to them but prefer the conversation not to be lengthy. It's not that I don't want to talk to them but talking for an hour on the phone to me is boring. My mind tends to wander at times. I would prefer to email. I make plans with a good friend all the time for lunch or dinner via email. Also do make plans through email with our kids. It works for me!

I never liked the phone so I rarely use it. I prefer emailing. I can say what I want to say and then I wait for a response.Simple.

Same for me, when You are on the phone You don't really have much time to think what You want to say.

Hi Jill, I prefer to talk on the phone to my mother and my daughters and a couple of my friends but for most other people I tend to email. Recently one of my rabbits chewed through the walkabout phone cable at the wall and it was about a month before I could replace the phone and a neighbour lent me a plug in the wall one. I didn't make any calls unless they were absolutely esential as I didn't like being confined to one place as when I talk I will often walk throught to the kitchen to get a frink or run upstairs to get something my son wants. I have freedom again now so have made a few more calls recently. It also depends on how much time I have too. Ellie :D

Well in this regards I am quite like you and if I talk then I keep my conversations small. Though some people consider me a miser but I do not mind. The only talks that go beyond my time are that of my mom when she narrates some interesting episode that might have happen at home.

I prefer to use IM or email, even text messaging than talking over the phone. But I see the advantages of using the either ways. I can use the phone if I really want to speak with the person and the message that I have to say is 100% that important that I wanted to disseminate it and get feedback right away- talking over the phone- it's the easiest way actually. I am not the type who stay hours over the phone. When I want to talk like nothing really important, I prefer to use IM or email.

I like to talk on the phone, but i don't like using mobilephone, it has redialization, it's bad for our health. Using phone is better than im for communication, IM has a merit that it is free.

I like to talk on the phone. I am the type of person who can stay on the phone for like hours. Just put it this way if I get on the phone with one of my friends I can stay on for at least 5 hours before we get off. I wasnt never good in typing or using email so I nevery really got into that. Plus, I am never on the computer that offten so i never seen the point in emailing or Iming.

I don't either. For some reason, talking for hours on the phone doesn't appeal to me. Perhaps I'm more interested in email, since I can answer it at my leisure instead of being forced to talk whenever someone calls. IMing is similar to phones in that I wouldn't be able to answer at my leisure, but it's also a lot easier to be invisible and still receive messages that others are trying to send me.

And sometimes when the call comes in you are doing something that you need to get done....or something you want to do.....I agree.....I like doing it at my leisure!

Oh I am most definietely a talker face to face, IM, or phone. Once I start it is hard to shut me up. Ask my daughter Minnie. She is like me as well. HAHAHA!! I prefer face to face talking over other ways. But I talk any way I can at the time when the opportunity arises. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am not a phone person at all. occassionally, I'll get caught up in a call from a friend but it has to be something besides just idle chit chat. I'd much rather see the person in person. The hours that i work tend to conflict with everyone I know anyway. Prior to getting a computer, i wrote letters often to let people I cared about know that I was thinking of them....just to keep in touch until we could actually be in touch. I love e-mail...makes it all much easier and quicker. occassionally if a friend catches me on line i'll do the im thing but really that is pretty much the same as the phone.

email is nice and convienint and makes it easy to communicate with others however I prefer being able to listen to someones voice. My sister never calls and says she prefers email. My parents dont call me and I dont like that.

If I have to communicate with someone, I much prefer calling... I don't particularly like talking on the phone but I'd rather do that than having to check my e-mail... But then again, I do get my emails delivered straight to my cell. phone as well so I guess it doesn't really make too big of a difference... If my girl friend or friend or even work need to tell me something for later, weather it's picking up milk on my way home or plans I've made with a buddy for later date in the week & he's trying to remind me of it, or general work stuff, they send me emails for them...
