I finished them tonight and celeberated by going to get a taco salad....I am glad the project is behind me but it also took time away from other more important things...Crafts do however make you feel like you have accomplished something...to see the finish product that is actually handmade by you is an aweful lot of self gratification! What is one of the projects you have worked on that has made you really feel good about yourself?

Those invitations are so cute! How many did you have to make? It does take a long time when you are making lots of different cards. I scrapbook and I make cards too and sometimes I can spend hours and hours doing it but it makes me feel better to see the finished product. It also seems to relax me when I scrapbook and make cards. I made flyers yesterday for the new cleaning service my friend and I are starting. It made me happy because after we take these flyers out Monday then maybe we will have some customers to clean for and we will be able to make some more money.

The first one took the longest trying to decide how I should put it together...after that is was like manufacturing them! LOL....I had to make sixteen but my daughter in law came over for supper and helped me stamp.color and cut out all the little flip flops! Hope you get some customers.....by the way....I love scrapping too!

OK, now you're making me feel ashamed again. The last thing I finished that made me feel good about getting it done was three lessons of my correspondence course. Every three lessons I send them in to be graded. After ten lessons I come in for an exam. Well I finished those last three lessons weeks ago, and should be done with more three lessons. But I'm not. So I guess since you made me feel bad and all, I'll have to get back to work on it.

Hello jillhill. Good for you, you no doubt worked really hard on those. That's cool that you celebrated. Yes, it's nice to finish a task and move ahead to the next. I agree, something as simple as knitting a washcloth can make me feel like I really "did something." I can't think of a single craft project that I've worked on lately. But I did recently set a goal to submit articles to a particular writing website more often. And then I wrote 3 articles and submitted them. I guess that made me feel really good that I did that.

The 3 articles I was talking about are "How to Take an Eco-Friendly Shower," "Investing in Global Warming," and "Knowing How to Speak Another Language Helped me Have the Most Romantic Vacation Adventure." And after those 3, I've just written 4 more! I guess I must have gotten loosened up.

Hi Jill, Well done for finally finishing them and now you can spend time doing the things you need to be doing eh! How is the saying NO bit going LOL, it is easy once you get the hang of it. I am not that creative but the last thing I felt good about finishing was when I decorated my lounge. I felt it had become a room I could really relax in rather than just a room in a house, it had become homely. I love at Christmas time though when I have disguised what a present is in a different shape box etc. Huggles. Ellie :D

Well, I started to redo my bathroom. I washed and painted the wall's hot pink. The reason is everybody told me no you can't do that as then you have to paint it again to sell. To bad. Now I'm going to paint trim a bright yellow. LOL See how they like that. I do. With white lace curtains. My Mom loves it. Plus I have one of those big claw tubs in my bathroom. yeah will be the only girl room in the house. Not to much to ask for. I mean I do own the house and all. But Have to be nice to my son. LOL. And my roommate is like well, it's your bathroom. Right sure it is that is why I alway's have to clean the tub after my roommate and son. That made me feel really good. Mite do my bedroom next. Your friend onlydia

Your invitations came out really nice! How cute!!! I just got done sewing new cafe curtains and toppers for my laundry/plant room. There's 6 full-sized windows along one wall, then a long skinny window. Only one of the windows open, the rest are stationary. The hardest part was figuring out what type of curtaining to make because I still want to be able to open the window sometimes! I do the ruffling the old fashioned way where you baste, draw the strings, and then sew them down. (I have a ruffler attachment on my sewing machine, but I have never liked to use it) Feels good to get this project out of the way, it looks so nice and fresh back there now!

I'm still working on a baby afghan that I started about 4 months ago. It's time to end it but forgot out to cast off so will need to cheat and check it out on the internet. Also just started a piggy bank project without the piggy. Am going to use a plastic coffee can and wrap it with an Elmo pattern. It should be really cute when finished and will post a photo when the project is complete. And you are so right about feeling good when a craft project is complete. To answer your initial question, I have completed nothing lately..lol

Bridal Necklace for My Sister - This is the necklace I made for my youngest sister's wedding. I also made earrings and a bracelet to match. I was quite happy with the fact that the pattern matched the white eyelet dress she wore.
Your invitations are just so cute! My jewelry always make me feel good about myself. I always feel that I accomplished something, not only for myself, but for the bride I am working with. To date, I think my most gratifying work was for my youngest sister's wedding in April. I did her flowers and her jewelry. Her comment in her journal was, I just received my wedding jewelry and all the flowers, and I am a little teary eyed. They are all so beautiful. Of course, she is my little sister, she would say that, but still, it made me feel good that I could do that for her and that she loved them. I also just recently finished a book cover for a book that a friend of mine wrote. It took me longer than I had hoped, but I finally got it as close to what I had envisioned as I could get it, and I was happy to let it go.

Thanks.*S* I am not sure I want to be designing book covers. I want to pursue my drawing, but maybe next time, if someone wants a book cover, they can just choose from something I have already done.*L* Congratulations on your book.

That is such a cute invitation. I have been writing a lot of poetry and articles lately. Getting through the editing process and all that has made me feel very accomplished and happy. I am compiling my poetry into a book...that project will take longer to complete, but I really enjoy it. I see that you have a poetry book as well!

My friend runs a small card making business. I've seen some very nice handmade cards. The one you show here is quite cute. I finished a 10K race this morning with a time that ties my personal best. I was pleased.
