trim them all down so they are the same length? And begin again? Or do you just leave them alone, and whatever happens happens? I trim mine down. But I know a few who just don't take the time. What about you?

My nails are very weak and are constantly breaking, so I always just leave them alone. They're never filed or trimmed, they snag on my hair and some of them are rigid and even have points on them where they've broken. I don't really have the time or energy to keep up with them, and they always stay rather short from the breakage.

I will just let it come off. It will eventually grow back. I used to sweat it when my nail would break off, but not anymore.. I don't file them, I will just let it grow back again.

At the time that I break the nail I only trim the one. Later when i have more time I will go and do all of them the same length usually. Mine grow so fast I am cutting them all the time anyway.

I just chew my nails down most of the time, they don't really get long so they don't really break that much. I don't' really care about my nails, it's easier to have them all short to make it easier to write and pick things up and fasten buttons.

I don't have long nails.I just like to have them come over the tip of my finger a little.I always have nail polish on and it looks better if i have just a bit of nail.I really never get a broken nail, maybe because they are not really long.If i did break one,I would have to trim them all down.

I never cut mine, I simply keep them clean, and occasionally file down the jagged edges so they don't catch on my clothing, blankets, hair, etcetera. I'm a guy, and many people find it creepy when I have half inch, inch, and even sometimes 2 inch long fingernails, but I don't care, they are my fingers. I simply can not stand it when I cut my nails too short, and then I can pick up coins, playing cards, or other flat objects from tables or other flat surfaces. It really is annoying. Admittedly though, I do think my hands look better with long nails, but I can't help the fact that I have long slender hands can I? lol

Mine don't grow too long so I basically leave them alone and in a few days it is back the same length. If I had a job where people seen my hands alot then I would be more inclined to file them all down to the same length so it would look more appropriate and business like.

Oh I hate broken fingernails. I trim the rest down a bit - I swear I have some OCD going anyway. Out here manicures and pedicures are really popular. Lots of acrylic nails on fingers and even on toes sometimes. When one of my co-workers breaks ones of those, it really looks bad - need a trip quick to get it fixed.

I tend to take the time to file and trim my nails if break one. I find that if i dont the rest just seem to start breaking as well. I do however leave my thumbnails a bit longer than the rest. It helps with picking little things up like screws or things like that at work.

Ouch! I don't do that often. However, I have split the edges of my nails before. Fortunately, not so deep as to hurt. Just a little split. When that happens, I trim them all down as short as I can. Otherwise, it bothers me.

I usually trim them down, unless I'm in a hurry. That's how I ended up with my current short nail length. I look forward to them being long again.

Sometimes I do, otherwise it looks funny if some are really long and some are short, but if they are not to long and one tears really short then I just leave the rest, but they do look nicer when they are all the same length!
