I just found a new star for the top of my tree that lights up and even has the option of blinking if you want it to for $2 I also found some really good educational Computer Games for $1 each not too long ago for my son! I absolutely love it when I find bargains like this! So, what about you? Have you found any recent bargains? Do you look for bargains on a regular basis? ~Heavens~

Don't know if this counts, but the best bargain I got was last night. I went to visit a friend I haven't seen in years..I use to help her with her shop and gardening and she would slip me some money and food that I needed at the time.. She has a temporary cast on her wrist and needed someone to roll out cookie dough for cookies she needed for a party. It was a lot of cookies, but I got it all done and by the time I left, she gave me a small toy and candy for my sons stocking, her tin matchbox/candle holder I admired and about 20 pounds of different gourmet breads and muffins, just for rolling out cookie dough and helping her get them packed up..( the 20 pounds is not an exaggeration, it was in 2 very large boxes..I don't even have room in my freezer for all of it..

I'm always looking for a bargain, and I shop at the local Goodwill when I can get over, they have Christmas things that has never been opened, and at a nothing price. I have picked up some really interesting Santa's there too. I bought a 7 foot tree still in the box and it is beautiful, one like it in the stores was over a $100. and I paid $8. for it. I shop Macy's third floor here where they mark all the left over items when the new styles come in and they are really cheap on the sale racks, I got a $400. comforter set for $40. and a $135. quilt for $11. so yes I like to bargain shop. Way I look at it, every penny I save I can buy something else.Kohls is the same as Macy's with their marked down clothes and you are getting good quality clothes.

When we was relocated to Ohio from the hurricane I found all kinds of bargains for furniture for the house by watching what they had in the thrift stores, one of the stores up here the furniture stores donate new furniture one piece a month to the store, like a new sofa one month and a new refrig the next and so on, and I found out what day the stuff came in and was there to get it at a very low price, sometimes with the way prices are today we have to shop around to find good prices on the stuff we need. Yesterday we was watching on HGTV the beautiful log cabins, and one person ask me how did those women get such beautiful places, I said they married for the money and to hell with love is the only way I see it, since most of the men seemed to be a lot older than the women. HAHA, Wouldn't you just once like to be able to go out and shop and not have to worry about the price. I sure would just once in my life.

Especially when you find clearance prices cheaper than thrift store prices for clothing. Though it's a lil hard to hit the rummages here in winter but that's where I go for my kids first and then buy on clearance what I couldn't find.

The best deal I got recently was at Meyer a few days before Thanksgiving. Everything I got was on sale, and I had 2 $3.00 of general merchandise coupons which I used to buy myself a new shirt that was only $14.99 on sale. Then when I checked out I got 3 coupons for $2.00 off of Meyer gas. So I got my gas really cheap.

I got my Thanksgiving turkey and $70 worth of groceries for $12.99. I used a lot of coupons and planned it all out before I went to the store but it felt so great to fill the cart up and pay so little. The turkey was a $20 turkey by its self.

The last big saving that we made was on a bedroom suit (bed, bed sides, and tall boy) with draws in the bed as well for extra storage. The original price was $2489 we paid $1800 considering that my parents gave us $1300 to buy it and my grandmother gave us 500 euros this bedroom ended up costing us nothing. I love bargains and I hardly ever pay full price on clothes and toys and things for around the home. I always wait when there is a % off sale if its not needed right then.

For clothes I always buy at the end of the season for next year. When we were going on our trip I spend about $700 for our clothes and presents at top stores but if I was to pay original price it would have been lots more (hard to tell how much but an item would be slashed at 50% and then another 75%) so lets say it was $100 put down to $50 and then to $15. And this a quality things that you can wear for 10 years.

I love to read. So I always browse through books wherever I am at. I often go through the books at The Dollar Tree. You never know what good books you will find. I recently found the book "Never Again" written by former Attorney General John Ashcroft. It cost exactly $1. I recently went to an outlet mall and shopped in a Bible Outlet where the book was being sold for $24.99! I thought I really got a bargain, plus it's a great book!

I just remembered another great bargain I got that day in the Brand Name Shoe Store. It was a pair of leather sandals - retail for $50, and I got them for $5. I thought that was great, considering I have a big foot and it's hard to find shoes in most shoe stores with the exception of Naturalizer, which is what I mostly buy. I'm a bargain hunter.

I have been an avid bargain hunter for a long time. One of my favourite places to shop is Value Village (aka Savers in the US and Australia). I have been very fortunate to have found some excellent finds at my local VV. A couple of weeks ago they held their 50% off sale. I didn't manage to get there until one hour before closing (usually pretty picked over by that time) but I still managed to find some pretty sweet deals: a women's winter coat--missing the hood (I never wear the hoods anyway) but otherwise in excellent condition--a winter coat and a spring jacket for my daughter, a pants and two shirts that I could swear look just like new, also for daughter, and two pairs of pants for my son including some brand new cords with original tags still attached. Oh, yes and two novels for myself My grand total: $40.18. Being able to buy name-brand clothes for my family without paying name-brand prices: priceless.

Small world! I am also Canadian. I think that Canada is the only place that Value Village goes by that name. According to their website, they have stores in the US and Australia, but under the name "Savers".

hiya heavenschild, I don't usually go looking for bargains, I wait until they jump out at me. The last bargain that called out my name was during the summer when I came across a fantastic steal for a couple pairs of Crocs... of course they weren't the actual name brand but what the heck, they're just as comfortable and for a price of $2 and $4 I couldn't go wrong. Just had to buy them!! lol ~proudnana~

I found some really great argains at a liquidation store near my house. I was able to pick up some really nice picture frames for next to nothing. Regular price on them was between 17.99 for the bigger ones to 5.99 for the small ones, but they were marked at 90% off so they ended up being 1.79 down to .59. I bought quite a few and am using some as Christmas gifts. I love that store so much. Some other deals I got there were gifts for my Girl Guide troop, little girls neclaces, earrings, lipgloss for .10 each.
