People in Holland might argue this but I am so craving double salted licorice (zoute drop) which I think Holland is famous for, amongst other crazy good food. What is it that your country is famous for . . . regarding candy or sweets.

Love licorice, but I don't know about double salted. There are two candies local to my area. Chase Cherry Mash bars and Bogdon Reception Sticks.

Yes they both have chocolate. I grew up eating both kinds of candies. Once in a while I get a craving for the reception sticks. The cherry mash bars can be found just about everywhere, not so much the reception sticks. http://www.cherrymash.com/cherrymash/ http://www.bogdonschocolates.com/default.aspx

I'm not from Turkey, but if i was there now, I'd be eating a big plate of Turkish Delight! Ever had that? As for Canada, we are famous for candy made from maple syrup, and also for Coffee Crisp bars (chocolate bars flavoured with real coffee, with wafers and coffee cream inside).

I would guess chocolate since Hershey, Pa in the US is where the chocolate factory is located. I am a real chocolate fan and could eat it for breakfast. If there is another popular candy or sweet, I'd like to hear about it. I do know people in our country also eat alot of ice cream.

Hershey as in Hershey bars, Hershey kisses, and many other products is near my hometown in Pennsylvania. New England where I live now is famous for fried dough, which is a yummy dessert(you can do it with savory toppings, but I like my sugar fix) that involves frying a piece of dough until it's crispy and then putting delicious toppings on it- chocolate, cinnamon, peanut butter, even if your want to be really decedent ice cream and sundae stuff. Obviously if you want to survive you don't eat that everyday!

I live in the United States, but I honestly cannot think of sweets and candy that we are famous for here. My brain just is not working right now.

Oh Lekker!!!! Dropjes!!!! Ik wil graag zoete drop. I like the sweet licorice more than the salt ones. In Berlin I can't find them, so it is more for the Netherlands. They have Cheese Cake in Berlin, they are great too. Groetjes.
