It's been a long time since I've read any articles in support of Prs. Obama. I was just wondering if there are any still active here at Mylot.

Absolutely! Might not agree with 100% of what's happening, but I can't pass judgment until more time has lapsed. I still like how he's handling himself in general.

Why can't we judge the actions as he does them?

I agree. I still like him - I honestly didn't like his predecessor, even though I voted for him the first time. The dislike came as his terms continued. I expect this will be true, to some degree, with Mr. Obama as well. Although, as a person, I expect to continue to like him, even if I disagree with him, as I am with most of my friends, conservative or liberal.

Why can't you place your own response instead of adding on to mine? And, we were already millions in debt, trillions, before Obama was elected, so don't dump the "my grandchildren" crap on him.

Because why? You're 17. What do you know about politics and what makes you support him that's relevant to the matters at hand?

my uncle is my american history teacher, and many people don't know this but teenagers do pay attention to the news. i support him closing guantanoma bay, and letting stem reasech happen, because i want them to find a cure for cancer, my father has a cancerous brain toomer. support obama, and my age has nothing to do with it, and it doesn't mean that i do what other people expect from teenagers. im a very educated person, im in honor classes, im pretty smart. and i don't reply to your obama posts because i don't think that we are friends on mylot, so i don't see them too much.

Many of us have moved on to other sites after having our discussions deleted by those finding loopholes in them to have them removed. Do you know how frustrating it is to put time and energy into a thought provoking post, reply to the many responses, only to see it and your earnings removed a few days later because someone used a loophole to have it deleted? Well that's what happened to me time and time again to the point where I decided it just wasn't worth it. Hope this helps your understanding as to why many Obama supporters are not active on myLot anymore. In other words, myLot allowed the inmates to run the asylum and it backfired. From what I've seen, myLot usually DOESN'T respond to accusations of unfairness. Or perhaps their form of "reply" is deleting discussions or shutting people down alltogether.

Well ted, we have those who are realizing things didn't in fact change a lot and he and congress are just as treasonous and dangerous to the liberty of this constitution and can't defend it, so they disapeared back in to the wood work, then tere are those who are still all caught up in the moment and refuse to look at anything, and still continue to wander in blissfull ignoance to what this country was founded on and happlily accept the police/nanny state that has been creeping in.

Para, I support my president, and I support my country (something that you noticed is lacking on here). The guy has been at work for two months, I have never had a job where I felt comfortable, or didn't make any mistakes for the first year. I think he has made some mistakes, but he doesn't even have all of his people in place yet. We gave Bush time when came into office, I don't understand why it is different for Obama. But, I shouldn't expect anything more from republicans, these are the same people that investigated Bill Clinton for four years. But, go crazy when anyone says a word about investigating Bush (can you hypocracy?).

How are people not supporting their country? I'm fighting for it's survival. Obama is not the country. I swear alegence to my country and it's constitution, not the people we put in to run it. the mistakes Obama is making have nothing to do with his limited time in office or the fact that he does not have all of the people in place. And being that I'm not a republican, you fail in that attempted line of attack too. they are one half of whats wrong with our government. the Bush administration should be investigated for anumber of things. But he isn't president now and we're not talking about him, we are talking about Obama. Now, would you be so kind as to attempt defending Obama's and the current congresses actions and policies on their own merit? can you do that? And no, "it's only been two months" is not merrit.

" I am sure that you remember when questioning president Bush and his invade Iraq because I said so policy made you anti Ameircan. I see no difference here, the only thing I hear from republicans ( I realize you are not one of them, but you have done the same" The only thing I ever recalling refering to people as unpatriotic reguarding the Iraq war, was when I denounced people who were directly insulting troops, THAT to me was unpatriotic. On the other hand, I feel it is not only unpatriotic to not keep an eye on and call out our government on failures and usurptions, it us iresponsable. But in either case, all you are doing is pointing out how people did it with bush instead of explaining why it is not ok to do it with Obama or why we don't see Obama supporters either arguing their cases on the merrit of policy or critising the things they claim not to be in agreament with and even worse, why the things they do agrea with TRUMP the blatent constitutional usurptions STILL taking place despite the fact that we just finished getting rid of one constitutional usurper in the last elections.

X, I am sure that you remember when questioning president Bush and his invade Iraq because I said so policy made you anti Ameircan. I see no difference here, the only thing I hear from republicans ( I realize you are not one of them, but you have done the same) is how bad of a job Obama is doing. They are not offering suggestions to get us out of this mess, they only want to blame Obama for everything. Just to use facts for you X: Barack Obama was sworn into office on January 20, 2009 today is March 21, 2009. Barack Obama has been president of the United States for exactly 60 days. This is a none debatable FACT. The TARP plan was a huge mistake my this congress and president Bush and Paulson. Barack's stimulas plan looks like it will start to process new jobs in late spring, early summer. I say let the man do his job, you can critize him all you want, but if he fails, so does the country. So, like during the run up to war with Iraq, YOU should have to put up with the same BS I did.

I think most of them are reading and regretting that they ever supported him in the first place. I saw somewhere that his numbers drooped by about 60% with those who are informed and they went up 50% with the Kool Aid addicts.

Yep. I'm still here and I'm still supporting the president. Overall, I'm happy that he is making a strong effort to keep many of his campaign promises. That's why I voted for him and that's what I expected from him. I haven't been around Mylot much lately because I've been too busy. Whatever the heck is going on with the economy, I can attest to the fact that books are now selling better and faster than ever. Maybe we should forget about housing as a bellweather and use books, it would be more positive news and that always helps. The real test will come with the Spring auctions and I've got my fingers crossed. lol

Irisheyes, thanks for chiming in. I didn't write this post to argue politics, I just wondered where all the Obama supporters disappeared to.

I don't believe his policies are going to ruin this nation. I believe they are going to put us back on our feet. If I believed as you do I wouldn't feel as I do. Don't presume that you can read my mind by giving your opposing opinion.

I'm still here, Ted, but I was away for a little over two weeks. I haven't posted as many articles in support of Obama because of what has happened in THIS discussion - people get rude and nasty and it turns into anything but a discussion. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular or saying only the Republicans do it, I'm just saying it can get unpleasant and I'm not here for unpleasantness or to be told I have my head stuck up someone's butt. When I made my decision to vote for President Obama I never for one second expected I'd agree with every single thing he did anymore than I've had that expectation about anyone else I've ever voted for; however, in general I'm satisfied with the job he's doing and I still have "hope" (go ahead, someone's bound to attack me for using that horrifying word...lol) that things will turn around in time. HI, I support Obama only because I am trying to be optimistic. Do I agree with all he is doing? NO! Some things are questionable but I can only hope that I am wrong and hope for the best. Obama was never my first choice or most passionate choice to begin with. He is president now and I can pray that he does better than Bush did. It is all still new and I'm trying not to be too negative. I was the same with Bush. As for those bonuses for AIG....they are just a hairline fraction of the total amount the government has given AIG. It would be like if I gave you 20.00 to bail you out of a situation and you turned around and blew 1.00 of it frivolously...just on a much larger scale here.

Well, so far he is outspending Bush and has continued most of Bush's most controversial decisions.
