How overdue was it?

I am sure most of us have had over due books at the library. And I have had to pay a fine once in a while. Nothing too big however. But some people have. My sister had one, where she just went ahead and paid for the book. It was cheaper.

Wow, I have never had a big charge for over due books since I had been in school thankfully our library in town waves the late fees for books but not for the audio books,DVDs,CDs,and Movies. I am glad because when my mom moved she taken some books that belonged to the library that I had checked out for my little sister and they weren't able to be returned for awhile...like over a year.

I'm a little ashamed to say this but I owe a public library $81 for missing materials, though I clearly remembering returning the more expensive of the them, on time I might add, but I never got a chance to return the last two books I got from them, and I moved to a different state without ever paying them... and I still have the two books that I never returned...

I have never had any overdue books from the library as I do not read much at all. I would go ahead and buy the book also if they were to charge me a late fee for it, if it is reasonable.

Let's just say I'll never be using my card again! My husband has about $50 worth of fines which we're working on paying. Mine is a lot worse than that though. We took out about a dozen things, and somehow managed to never return them...this was years ago so I can't remember why we couldn't return the items. I never called to tell them of what was going on either... life got a hold of us.

Yes I have in the past but I cant remember when last I have been to a library because with the advent of the internet I spend most of my time researching in the net rather than going to a library .The only time i ever had an overdue book though is when I borrow a book during holidays and before i was able to finish my holidays finished and I didnt have enough time to return the book

I was only late once with a book for high school. I was late like a month and was nervous because it was .25 a day per late day and thought it would be like about 10 bucks. Well, I went to return it and they told me I only owed them .25 cents. I guess, they weren't keep track. I even told them I was late.

I've had a few over due books. I tend to have books out alot and every once in a while its not quite done when its due but someone else has it on order so i have to finish it before i can return it. It ends up being 10 cents a day. I havent had anything more than 3 days (30 cents) on a book though.

I get particularly irritated with late fees. A time or two, I had to go searching around for a "lost" item. I'm never entirely certain if I've lost the item or if the library failed to record that I brought it back.
