Hi all. We all have certain dreams and goals, some from the time we are children. I believe I would say that my biggest dream from the time I was a child was to grow up and have children someday. I wanted to be a mom :) So yes, I have achieved my biggest dream! Would you say that you have achieved your biggest dream? Or not yet? What was/is your biggest dream? Karen

Hi Karen! Dreams keep coming and everyday we new dreams. In the journey of my life few of my dreams got fulfilled and few remained unfulfilled. I got a good job, good wife and happy family. Hopefully, my other dreams will also come out true. I do not dream for those things, which are beyond my reach.

Hi Deepak. I, too, have many dreams, the biggest which has been fulfilled, that of having a family. I am glad you have also fulfilled that dream, and like you, I have others not yet completed, but I keep working towards achieving them :) And yes, it is good to dream big, but to keep those dreams realistic. Hello my friend. That is a very wonderful dream, and once the economy is better, perhaps you will be able to reach that dream. If not then, hopefully by the time you are 30? You are young, but again, the dream is a wonderful thing to work toward. Karen

I definitely haven't achieved my dream yet.. I think my dream is pretty much to have a really good career & to be happy! And while I'm pretty close to the happy part of it, I still have about 3 more years left of college before I can even begin working toward that career!

I would have to say yes but in different ways. When I was younger my dreams where having a big career in like archeology or something like that. But right now I am working with people with behavioral health issues and I have to say I am making a difference and I think that is achieving one of my dreams. Sure I am not finding ancient ruins or anything, but I am making a difference in someone's life.

My life has been full of many small small dreams and wishes. Some have fulfilled, some have not and some dreams are just dreams. I know they are never going to come true but that's what make them special. I am a person with very less aspirations, goals. Right now, I am happy with whatever I have. My family is most wonderful, my friends are most sweet and the world around has been considerate. I am happy with everything that I do know. Even the bleakest period has been enlightening. And dear, I am so glad that your dreams have come true. I know you are the world's best mom and you are the world's BEST friend. I love you , I really do.

Well Karen, I would say I have achieved the dreams that mattered. The others were just a pipe dream and something that you hope to do but most of us don't make it and that is to get a good job and make alot of money so we can be comfortable in out old age. I had my children and got married at a young age so college was out of the question. Of course back then you were looked down on if you were not married and was pregnant so the only time you were allowed to attend classes was during the evening. It is not like it is today...you were pretty much forced into marriage and then most of them never worked out becasue you found out the only thing either of you cared about was the baby. Which was very good for the baby but bad for a marriage. So I will say I achieved the most importatnt goal I set out to achieve and thankfully all of my children were smarter than theri mom and went to college and got good jobs and now they have given me 5 beautiful grandchildren. flutterby

Hello Flutterby...I think that if one's children are happy, healthy, and successful, a mother could not want for more. Things truly have changed since our younger years, and yes, it is a struggle financially for many of us, but the small blessings still make getting up each day worthwhile. Never give up on a worthwhile dream :)) Karen

As a non-stop dreamer, I have had many dreams. One of them was to grow up, become a teacher, and watch people take exams. I always thought it was great to walk around in the exam hall, look important, hand out extra papers and check id's, announce that the time was almost up and would every one please hurry up! Sometimes, dreams do come true, and after 7 or 8 years of acting out my dream, can I just say that I will be careful what I dream of (and wish for) next....It's not as glamorous as I thought it would be :(

Hello Jag. I think some dreams, when we do achieve them, do not always exactly match our expectations. We tend to leave out some parts, like the responsibility of being a teacher giving those exams. I do have a great deal of respect, though, for your profession. You do important work! Karen

Not yet, there are still more work to be done. And due to the fact that I'm still a student, I can say that my goals are still far from where I am right now. But I'm getting there!

Hi Kindy. I think many of us dream of becoming rich at some point, but our dreams do change. And who knows, maybe if you work toward getting your own cake shop, that will lead to having enough money and some extra besides. I wish you the best in making that dream a reality :) Karen

I haven't achieved my biggest dream in my life yet, and I wonder whether I can realize it at last. My dream is to be a cartoonist. But I don't have enough time to do so. I have to go to work and make living. Besides, I feel myself becoming depressed and lacking of energy...I wish one day I can have enough money and then I'll quit. So that I can focus on drawing.

Hello Alley. I do believe there will come a time, working even, that you will make some free time to pursue the dream to become a cartoonist. Many creative endeavors are begun while we are still working a "regular" job so stay hopeful :) Karen

Hi PeacefulWmn, my biggest dream from my childhood is to become a financial independent. Means I should earn a lot of money. So that I can help my parents, my sisters, friends, and everyone, who ever is in need, I could help them. I should not say to anyone. That's what my goal, that I've not yet reached. But I don't give up. I'll work for it till my life ends. I hope I can get success soon.
