Would place president's birth during time Hawaii was a territory. I thought surely this cannot be true! So I went into My Space and pulled up his website and it is true. Here is the link[/i]

If President Obama were indeed born in Hawaii, was it while the islands were a territory of the United States?
A new wrinkle in the dispute over his birth – and whether he is eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution's requirement that the president be a "natural born" citizen – appeared today when Obama's official MySpace page declared his age is 52, thus placing his birth year at 1957 instead of 1961 as has been claimed.
That would mean he would have been born during the archipelago's time as a territory of the U.S., the islands' status from about 1900 until statehood in 1959.
The birth year also conflicts with campaign and other White House information that have discussed his 48th birthday this month.
An Aug. 16, 2009, screenshot of President Obama's MySpace page declares his age as 52, not 48 as has been claimed elsewhere.
Obama's personal web page, BarackObama.com, has numerous links to related sites including Facebook and MySpace, confirming that MySpace.com/barackobama is the president's page on MySpace.
Even when one puts the words "MySpace" and "Barack Obama" into search engines such as Google, the top result is the same page and indicates: "Official profile page for Barack Obama includes his blog, blurbs, news clips, videos and comments from his MySpace friends."
Obama's Facebook listing does not display his age, but shows his date of birth as Aug. 4, 1961.

I agree that the myspace page is linked to from his official web page, so it could be his official myspace page but that doesn't mean that it wasn't hacked and altered. There are lots of people who have had their myspace hacked, and it's one reason it is losing popularity as a social networking site.
It doesn't seem likely that he's lied about his age because a difference of four years would throw off a lot of other dates, like schooling. And it certainly would not have been overlooked by his staff if he did make such a mistake on his myspace.

I agree it would be unbelievable (although if it were true I would be happy!!!) anything to discredit Obama is fine with me as long as it is the absolute truth! I am also very surprised that the web-page has not be shut down. It does give today's date as the last update.

Ok well first off look at where it says he is from "Washington, Washington DC "
It's not Washington, Washington DC. If you want to write the president you mail it to "Washington, DC 20500". Besides, I hope you realize that I can make a page today saying I'm George W. Bush. Hell I could even be Hitler. Or anyone else, myspace does not look into if you are who you say you are.

That's exactly what I was thinking. How can anyone prove the page is really Obama's, and why would he make such a revelation, knowing the firestorm that is already aflame about the BC issue?

I just cannot believe that he would be that stupid. I do not like or trust Obama but I never thought he was stupid. Even if he was that stupid surely someone in his administration would have caught the "typo".

One thing that I forgot to mention when I posted was last year I was looking for the speech that Bush gave at the RNC for his second term, and I found a site that was something like BushCheney2004 or whichever year it was. Anyway, the speech looked all offical but the website REALLY looked offical like it had a real address for donations and everything. So, needless to say I start reading this speech and it contains cuss words and well I'll admit I have never watched the RNC before, so I call my husband and I start reading him this speech and he's like well that was a long time ago but, that clearly doesn't sound like Bush. This speech had him saying cu*t and that * should be an "n" so I book mark it and make my husband look at it and he got the impression that someone "hijacked" the site and changed it to make Bush look bad. And, I think you both know that I am not a Bush supporter and I can tell you my husband isn't either but, if it looks fishy than it probably is. And, to be honest, if it was Bush's offical site, how would he know that several years later someone hijacked it. I trust stuff posted on the internet about as much as I trust politicans lol

You cant depend on MySpace to display ages correctly. My sister has a myspace page and it displays her age as 65. She is 30. She has emailed MySpace numerous times to have it changed but they never fix it.
I have some friends on MySpace whos age appears as 99 years old. Anyone who spends any time on MySpace knows about the glitch. And thats all it is. A glitch.

A couple of comments:
First, do you think Barack Obama made that page? He's a LAWYER, not a graphic artist, and he's very busy with being the president and all. The White House communication staff builds these things, and someone who can't subtract screwed up.
And second, even the most fervent birther thinks he was born in 1961, which makes him 48.
Besides, even if he was magically born in 1957, not 1961, he would still be a natural born citizen because Hawaii was US soil.

How scary to think that Obama is too busy trying to be president that he doe not notice his staff allow such misinformation to be posted. I hate to think what other misinformation he has not notice.

A territory of the United States IS US soil. By your logic, the first eight presidents (none of whom was born in a US state) are all illegitimate.

Wow, that puts a whole new meaning to "where is his birth certificate?" doesn't it?
If this is true, wonder who let this info leak? the white house? surely not!! but Hawaii was only a territory at time of his birth, so that makes Hawaii on a territory-----he could not be a US citizen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this whole elligability conspiracy theories are a tactic being used to divert attention away from more important issues surrounding our government right now. They are playing on the fears of the simple minded masses.
Its exactly like the 9/11 conspiracies. You know how Bush planned the attacks on the Trade Center as an excuse to go to war?? Its rubish. And its a scare tactic. And whats more... it WORKS.

As I have explainein past posts, there are more descrepencys to come from this man that was planted in office. Just wait and see whats comming next, I wont say any more here, because I have been called a fortune teller for giving advice under having preminitions that I just want to share with others. I guess if some people have a hard life, they discount others help. Oh well his loss. I had said he is not an American and that more proof will come out. But the biggest bombshell to hit will soon find it's way to the media, but might be another smoke screen.

So do you think it's more likely that there is a big, huge conspiracy surrounding the president's birth, or that the White House intern responsible for maintaining the MySpace page made an error? Look, even if this nonsense were true and he was indeed born in 1957 (which he wasn't) he would still have been born in a US territory, and considering the fact that Senator McCain was born in Panama of all places, but that was considered acceptable because he was born on a United States military base--therefore US soil--then being born in a United States territory would have been acceptable as well. All territories and protectorates of the United States are US soil.
