Coconut or baby wipes or we are the luckiest family at the fair...

There was a candy exhibit at the fair this year and a candy challenge. The beanie baby folks were doing it. You walk up, spin the wheel and then they give you a candy, either a good one or a nasty one. For example, when we first got there somebody spun "coconut or baby wipes". And from the looks on their faces, they did not get coconut. Everybody who goes up there and tries it gets a free sample. So anyway we went up there and spun "licorice or skunk spray". So he gave each of us a black jelly bean. I took a bite. Pure relief. Licorice. Dearra says, "licorice." Naomi says, "licorice." Cary chews and chews and chews. Believe me if it were skunk spray he would have spit it out. All four of us got licorice. The guy doing the challenge told us we were the luckiest family that he had run into so far and we should go to Reno before the luck wears off. Are you lucky?

Hello my friend, sounds like you and your family had a wonderful day out! Knowing my luck I would get the snot flavoured ones, ewwww. No I am not lucky, well not lucky as I used to be in my teens. As a teenager I used to go to lots of fetes, especially around Christmas time and I used to enter raffles and tombolas, well the amount of times my name got drawn out, I won a big basket of fruit, canteen of cutlery, a big stuffed cuddly lamb and a box of chocolates, those that I can remember! I guess my lucky streak run out, but that coconut candy is making my mouth water, I love coconut!

I love coconut too. There were snot flavored ones in the mix and you should have seen the expressions on the faces of the people who got them. The guy asked them and they said, "booger". So he asked them how they knew? hahaha
Well maybe luck goes in cycles and yours will turn around again! Hope so...

hi dawnald you sound like you and your girls had a ball at the'fair
.Am I lucky not at lotto but sit me down at a table with four or five or more other players at bingo and I win and win and win. some say heyI think shes cheating but no way. I am just lucky that my card has the right numbers when they are called. I could be wealthy if we had played for large stakes but here its just a quarter per game.but we have a ball and every one says watch out for Patsie. Oh did they have beanie babies at the fair,I am a collector of the cute little things, I have several that may be worth a little as they arent made anymore.but I wont part with them.

I have a nice little collection of beanie babies myself. Not sure if they're worth anything any more though. Nope, didn't see any at the fair...

Am I lucky? I suppose I would have to say I am, but I also say that I don't believe in luck, so I'll just say I live a very happy life. I am the youngest of five children and statistically speaking, the youngest is supposed to be the unhealthiest. I am the only healthy one in the family and haven't been to the doctor since my doctor retired about 25-30 years ago. My hubby keeps telling me I'll have to go in 2 years time, because at 75 you need a doctor's letter to renew your driver's licence.
I have the best husband in the world. I have five wonderful sons who've never given me any trouble. They have married wonderful wives who are perfect for them and combined they have so far given me five grandchildren who are a delight.
I do voluntary work which keeps me occupied for many hours a day and I love doing it.
Lucky? You can use that word, but I just say I am greatly blessed.

I'm luckier than a contortionist with 8 d*cks! Actually, that's not true to be honest and I'm definitely not someone who tends to be lucky at all. I suppose it comes down to how you define luck too? Then again, if I ended up with licorice, I would consider myself lucky 'cos I like licorice! So if we're talking about moments like these, then I guess I have the occasional lucky moment such as managing to eat a chicken drumstick without choking on the bone, crossing the street without being hit by a car and so far living 37 years without ever being hit by a meteorite! Personally I would've taken the coconut baby wipes by the way. It's a snack AND clean-up station all in one!

For me, it seems that I will have runs with good luck. For example, last year I was lucky for a good portion of the year. I won tickets to two concerts, one of them being front row tickets to see Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry, two country acts that I am a very big fan of. That concert was so exciting. Then, I also won a new heating and air conditioning unit for our house. This was the best thing that I'd ever won because prior to winning that our house had an older furnace and no central air. I was the happiest woman alive at that time. But, this year I haven't had any kindo of luck at all.

Wow, that's pretty good. Maybe you used up all your karma for this year last year! I've won a few things but not in quite a long time.
