Maybe he'll learn something from this early disappointment. Hopefully he'll have more soccer games for the next season. Today everything went on smoothly. I had a lot of fun going to the farmers weekly market to buy local fruits. It is the fruit season here and this year it seems we have a bountiful of local fruits. Since there is over supply of fruits, the prices are very cheap now.

The poor sweetie!!! Why do grown ups cancell children´s activities? I hope there´s a good enough reason. They should undertand that children don´t know very well How to deal with disappointment. As for me, I haven´t been disappointed yet this morning. I haven´t looked at myself at the mirror. A big hug! Maybe you can help by making some cookies with him.

Hi Jo. I'm sorry this happened and I do wonder why. What a bummer. As for your grandson, it's best that he starts learning things about life such as disappointments early so he'll have time to get used to them when they come and won't be so hard on him when he gets older. It'll make him stronger. But I do understand being a grandmother, it's hard to see happen to someone you love like you do him but the sooner he learns that things like this can happen, he'll be able to deal with it better later on in his life. But what a bummer for you.... Still, can't he come over and spend some time with you today?

Yes, actually I have. My hubs was supposed to receive his yearly bonus yesterday and when I opened up our bank account, I found it wasn't there. There goes being able to pay off the credit cards! Hubs is so mad he's threatening to sue his boss and frankly, I hope he does. He works so hard so his boss doesn't have to, and then he gets screwed for it, like he did at Xmas when he didn't get the truck bonus (worth $2000.00) he was entitled to. His boss used it to take his family skiing instead! Seeing as how my hubs is only employee, you'd think the boss would keep his word....................so I feel for you and your grandson Jo. Sometimes it's just not worth getting up in the morning eh?

Hi Aunty, what a shame the game was cancelled as I know how much both you and Ryan look forward to them. As for my Saturday morning it is well over now and it was wonderful. I slept the whole morning away in unprecented peace and caught up on all my missed sleep. It suited my son who does not like to be disturbed on his Saturday mornings, and he brought me a lovely Greek coffee when I finally woke up. Made a change from the ususal 6.55 alarm call.

Ah, how sad for Ryan and you too. Ah, but there is still next year my friend. And remember we have a little bet on the boys games--baseball:) But, no haven't been really disappointed this morning. Feelings hurt a few times but not disapointment--- Keep you chin up and smile, it is Halloween !!

I had a very good day yesterday.....my granddaughter had a sleep over with me and after they picked her up I went to my sisters...joined up with my other sisters...and we had a scrapping weekend....and it was wonderful! Hope you are all feeling less disappointed today!

No dissappointments for me yet today. But my hubby was supposed to meet someone to discuss some things today, and the guy never showed. He was in a new restaurant and said that at least the coffee was good!lol Did they cancel because of rain? We had a lot last night with some high winds. Our neighbor right across the street had a pine tree tip right over out of the ground!

I hate it when the little ones get disappointed too. They had to cancel his last one! That stinks. I'm sure he will want to play again next year because he loved it so much.

Aww, the poor little guy. I've had no disappoints today, and that is a great feeling! I have a daughter who lives in antoher city, in fact, and she was out of cell phone minutes this past week. So when I heard the little two-way cheap-cheap sound on my own cell phone, I was so happy. She and I two-way throughout a day, just to say or tell about little things, and I so enjoy that. I hope tomorrow holds no disappointments for you or the little one! Karen

i haven't been disappointed today but i do know what it feels like sorry his game was cancelled. Are they going to have it this saturday?maybe he won't have to many disappoiments.

Well actually today has been a Good day for me. There was a few more things that I was actually wanting to do that I never got done, but that is OK as well. We had to sign some papers so we can get New windows installed in our home soon, and then we went to a Harvest Party at our Church. Then we came home and I am posting on myLot and then plan to do watch a movie or too with my husband as well.

I'm sorry about that. I guess my disappointment today is with my neighbor. She asked me to keep her cameras while she was moving so the people helping her move wouldn't steal them. Well, she has moved her stuff to the next town over, but hasn't come back for her cameras. I had to take two pain pills because of my back, and am having a very hard time staying awake. But she hasn't come back yet! I'm getting annoyed. I don't want to wait until midnight, and then find out she isn't coming at all.

I understand his disappointment. Of course knowing how this game has been really giving him big fun, it would be really disappointing. Well I also don't like any scheduled activity to get postponed especially if I have already prepared myself for that. If an adult like me gets disappointed with postponements how much more a young boy like your grandson.

Hi Jo! No, I haven't been disappointed about anything today. I'm sorry youall all are. Was it due to the weather or something? I just thought this might be the reason why they canceled it. Look at it this way. There's always next year. I know a year seems like a long time to a little 5 year old boy, though. Kathy.

I hate to see my grandchildren disappointed because I hate to see them hurting. However, I try to help them learn to handle disappointments because there'll be a lot throughout their lives. They're much better off if they learn to accept disappointments rather than feeling like a victim or losing their temper. Anyway, that's my take on it. No disappointments for me today...whuuuuuuu.
