How much would you spend on a pair of jeans?

I am curious as I recall in school all the "cool" kids were wearing $65+ jeans. My mother couldn't afford that so I got K-mart brand jeans & she'd buy all the same color/style too *sigh* But now I don't really buy the fancy ones either. I usually buy store brand or Lee jeans & I buy them when I find a deal. But I won't spend anymore than $30.

YOu know what is more that that? These "distresed" jeans. My daughter pays up to $100 for jeans that are ripped up the majority of the front of the leg area... around the knees mostly. Now ifI had made her wear jeans that were that trashed and multilated when she was a teenager...she'd a probably turned me in for child abuse! Yet, now....she willingly and anxiously pays a huge price for them and wears them proudly!!! I just don't get it!

Yep. And jeans that are so big that they sag around the hips and show the undies. Like when my uncle passed down his jeans to my brother, only my mom took them in to FIT!!! A few years ago that crap started in the music world, too. Many of my guitar friends were nutso about "reliced" guitars that looked beat to hell but it was all artificial. I guess people want the ambiance without any of the work, be it jeans, guitars or something else. I just wish junky cars would come into fashion!

The absolute most I'd ever spend on jeans is $20, but normally I go for $10 or under. Brand new I mostly buy Walmart, sometimes Old Navy if there is a sale... but mostly I go to the Salvation Army and buy them for $5 each.. I always look for a half off tags too, for me and the kids. I do own some name brand jeans, like I have a pair of Calvin Klein, and a bunch of Levi's.. but I've gotten them all at Salvation Army. I'd never buy those brand new.

I could not fantom paying $150 for a pair of jeans! Though I don't doubt there are people out there who are willing to or teenagers who plea with their parents for such an extravagance. I'm like you except I don't fit into old navy sizes so I buy from thrift stores, rummages or clearance racks mostly.

Hi there! My whole life, growing up, I never even spent $30 on pairs of jeans. I'd recommend going to places like Wet Seal, which is where I bought one this year, that was $14.99, and very nice ones. I got them in black and then regular blue jeans. Also Forever 21 has great prices. Otherwise, Marshalls and TJMaxx, etc. When I was growing up, my family often went to (kind of dusty but some treasures!) a place called Garment District in Boston, that sold for a dollar/lb. (Now $1.50/lbs.) with used clothing, that as a teenager, it also looked great when they are worn looking. ;o) It was like you go through a messy crazy room filled with unfolded clothing, put it into a trash bag, adn then weigh it for total price.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I got the jeans from Wet Seal when it was a sale, so I got them each for $9.99 each. :o)

The most that I really am willing to pay for a pair of jeans for myself is $25 and then I will wear them until they fall apart. I wish that I could get away with spending less than that, but right now I can't. For my children I will typically stick my limit to about 12.50 each pair and I will buy them from Children's Place or somewhere like that where they have trendy styles but the price tags aren't nearly as high as those at the boutique type shops. I always buy their clothes on clearance and I normally have a coupon that I can use as well.

in my country its not that expensive here so for branded and signature jeans we can buy it for $20 to $40 while non branded is just around $5. i prefer to buy branded jeans coz its more durable and i can wear it for long time since jeans is not out of passion unlike dress. so the expensive jeans i bought so far is $25 and its the JAG brand, i love the fit of it.

I have a few favorite stores i like to shop for jeans. For me i am opposite of most people i try to make it my challenge to find the cheapest price.... looking at all the sales and clerence racks. The cheapest pair of jeans ive found was 5.99 i thought that was a great buy! I dont think its important to buy the latest and greatest brand name jeans. Really if you pay 150 for one pair you could easy buy 10 pair for that price.

I spend a bit affordable on jeans like $30 or less but never could reach $150. But sometimes we choose our friends, stop fitting in, just be who you are and hangout with the friends who couldn't afford too. They're the ones who wouldn't care what you are wearing.

My budget for jeans is up to P1,000 ($23) maximum. With that amount I can already buy good quality and the ones I can use for like 4 years or so. I just wish I wont gain much weight as time goes by so all my jeans would still fit me. I am not also following trends, I wear what I find comfortable. I like jeans as part of my everyday wardrobe.

I think the most expensive pair of jeans I've bought was around $60-$70. A lot of times I get them from Pacsun since they're normally 2 for $55 total. It's not a bad deal. With my budget getting less and less though, whenever I do go out and buy clothes again, I'll definitely be looking to see if I can find anything cheaper that I like just as much.

There's something about used clothing that I find attractive. It feels so good on my skin. We have a local Donnybrook Sale every year in June, where a full garbage bag of shirts and jeans sell for $5.00. The shirts are often the best quality, and if they have long sleeves my wife trims them to elbow length. The bag of clothes averages out to .25 or.30 cents each.

The jeans that I buy for myself are around $20 a pair. The ones I buy for my kids are only around $10-15 a pair. I remember when I was in junior high one of my friends begged her mom for a pair of Guess jeans. Because her mom got her the Guess jeans she could not afford to get her a bunch of other clothes, so she went the whole school year with 2 pairs of jeans. A plain old pair of blue jeans and her Guess jeans. She wore the Guess ones 2-3 times a week because she had no choice. I would rather have 5 pairs of jeans than 1 expensive pair.

I haven't bought jeans for years. I recently heard on the radio of a study of generic and brand name jeans and the generics were actually better made and didn't shrink. The most expensive ones developed holes in the pockets sooner and shrank the most! The last pair of jeans I bought were years ago at a thrift store for $1.00. I don't like brand new jeans, like someone else to break them in for me!

I spend about 20 bux on a pair of jeans. But if their good jeans and I know that they will last me long then I'll spend more than I have to. Last time I bought jeans I spent 50 bux on them because they were from abercrombie and fitch and they fit me really good. And to this day I still wear them. Jeans our my passion!
