questions we ask ourselves

Each day we each have questions we ask ourselves. I ask myself, how am I feeling, am I set for the day, have I done what I needed to do, sometimes I ask the big ones, am I working toward my goals, have I been good to everyone including me, have I mistreated anyone or ofended anyone. But the most important question, which many of us forget is Did I Laugh today? Laughter reduces stress, reminds us of our humanity, puts our lives into perspective and just altogether is one of the very best things we can do for each other and ourselves each day. SO GO AHEAD LAUGH.

Very good point that you've brought up here. I remember when I was younger my parents used to have a subscription to the Reader's Digest and I would read that thing from cover to cover (I've always been a voracious reader) and I remember the feature that was called Laughter is the Best Medicine. I think about that often and try to find something in every day of my life that is worth laughing at. Today it was some YouTube videos that my best friend was sharing with me.

I like that question: "Did we laugh today?". That's really clever. No, it's not always on my mind. I don't think I laughed today, not a legit, good laugh anyway. I haven't really been hanging around my friends though - mainly due to work stress. And the friends stress me out even more. Ugh. But it's important to look at life through such a positive light, I would imagine.

I have two dogs so I do laugh every day. They are so funny sometimes! I cannot imagine a day without laughter but I've known people who didn't so much as smile the whole day. I always felt sorry for people like that.

I don't ask myself many questions. The only question which I do tend to ask myself is "am I okay, really?". I have to do that, as I have struggled with depression in the past, and it tends to get to the stage where I am very, very low indeed before I even notice anything's wrong. If I ask myself am I okay,I will usually be able to see when I am feeling down, and would be able to do something about it before it got to the extent where it was out of my control.

I work hard at making my daughter laugh when she gets home from school because we are both tired and grumpy at that time of day usually. So I try to make her laugh and then I laugh! Each and every time it’s the best therapy! Laughter has its own healing magic...

That's a very nice reminder. Thanks. I think there are days I forget to a lot now. But I hope I incorporate it more often.

Hi savypat, I agree that's a question that we don't ask ourselves often enough. Sometimes we go days without laughing and that's not good. I've been feeling a little depressed today. Thanks for the reminder. Blessings.

They say laughter can make you healthy and I do try to laugh everyday.....well to be honest, I DO laugh everyday. Im blessed with a husband who has a sense of humor...same with my dad. When I call my dad, I always ask him how he's doing and he always says "I was doing fine till now"....always makes me laugh. Hope you get your "dose" of laughter every day and many many times a day!!
