I was talking to a co- worker of mine about Halloween/em] and she told me her 15 year old son went Trick or Treating. I thought he was a little to old for that but what do I know I don't have any kids. You think there is such a thing as to old to be dressing up and going house to house to get candy?

Hi missy! I'm sure that I would not appreciate any 15 year old boys coming to my house for candy! That is definitely way too old! In my neighborhood that would scare the cr@p out of us! I can barely deal with the 10 year old because they are already way too fresh beyond their years! I live in NYS, they grow up way too quick around here!

if you're in costume, you deserve a goodie bag. I'm 30 and I love taking misters neices and nephew trick or treating. but my favourite part is hosting the scariest house in the village. the one that everyone saves to last. but however old you are, if you're in costume you get a goodie bag

Hey missy bear. What's up with that ? :d we are all kids no matter the age :p. You are lucky this holiday is celebrated in your place, we barely have costume selling here, and 1 or 2 parties that i never can manage to get tickets for. If i were to go to a house here dressed up on Halloween, the people would probably call the police and treat me like a nut case.

Hi Missy. i think that is a little old for trick or treating but when I was 29 I took my children out trick or treating dressed up as the wicked witch in OZ. It was fun to walk with them like that they had a blast. I didn't carry a bag but did get lots of candy given to me for my effort.....LOL

Actually there doesn't seem to be a age limit anymore. Kids who are older seem to be still enjoying going out for trick or treating for fun.. I would think they would enjoy a party more, but we even had a 25 year old guy dressed up and trick or treating..no joke. We also had 18 year olds and 21 year olds..last year we had even older.. We still gave them the candy bags we made up. I guess it doesn't hurt anything..and they have fun..

I handed out candy to everyone wearing a costume. I'll admit some of them were well over 16; however, they took some time on their costumes. We have so many problems in this world, so certainly good to see people having a good time.

I think at that age he should be hanging out with his friends and maybe going to a party or two supervised of course. Many cities are no implimenting a law that if you are over the age of 12yrs old you could get a ticket for $100. We did see a few teens out and about when I took my kids, not many but a few and they were atleast dressed up.

Oh, I don't know. A kid's a kid. I handed out candy for my mom, and most of the little biddy kids went to trunk or treat downtown. But once when I went to the door, I was surrounded by kids all as tall as I am, and I'm not a short person by any means. Later 3 guys came by and one was taller than me which means he was 6 feet or taller. I laughed and said how old are you. He said '18'. The other two guys were 15 and 16. I thought it was cute, actually. I told them I wished I could still go.

I guess being in costume it's really kinda hard to tell how old some kids are.

As long as the kids take the time to dress up for Halloween then I am ok with the older ones going. I hate the ones that just come by late at night and ring the bell. It is scary if you are home alone.

No not at all, I say keep childhood going as long as possible. My 14 year old son and his mate went this year and had great fun - at 15 they are still children, adulthood comes quick enough, let them enjoy their childhood while they can!

You got a point there and as long as they not hurting anyone there is nothing wrong with it,but I think I would rather go to a Halloween Party at 15 then go door to door for candy.

You know what I have to say to someone like this: Why is everyone in a hurry for the kids to grow up. If they want to wear a costume and trick or treat why not. Would they rather the teen go out in the neighborhood and cause ruckus. Ugh pains me when I hear people saying that kids are too old. I remember my daugher being 8 years old. She is taller than your average kid and while I took her trick or treating an idi@t told her she was too old. Too old, for crying out loud did they think an 8 year was a teen and should be outdoors perhaps playing house, like becoming a mommy or something. Whoosh got me going for a minute.

I guess every body is different but I agree...only cause you tall and look older than others being 8 years old is still being a kid.

I've never missed a year of trick or treating! When I was 16 I went out with my friends. When I was 17 I brought my younger brother and sister, and yes I dressed up and got candy. Every year after that I've brought my own kids.. but didn't dress up. There were some teenagers, between the ages of 15 and 19, who were trick or treating on a bad side of town here and 4 of them were shot by drive by shootings. 2 were okay.. one shot in the kidney, one in the butt. The other 2 were critical.. one in the back and I forget the other one. Poor kids can't even go trick or treating anymore.. what kind of world do we live in?

It's really bad when stuff like tht happens. Kids can't even enjoy there candy cause the parents are so paranoid that it might be poisend.
