I don't know abut you but my TP is white and cheap. It only has one purpose and it ain't a pretty sight so why spend big bucks and buy fancy TP with print and colors on it? It's going down the toilet just like the other plain TP. Is it to make your Bathroom pretty or is it just for show....I use mine for it's purpose how about you?

We also don't buy expensive TPs. But we however consider how many plies it has and how smooth it is. The very cheap ones they sell here are so rough it might scrape your private parts :) We actually buy the 2-ply TPs. We feel it's more absorbent than the 1-ply one. You really flush your TP down the toilet?? Don't you think that is ill-advisable. Constant flushing a TP down might clog up your toilet.

Oh, since we use TPs mostly for toilet purposes, we throw it in a small trash bin inside our toilet after we use it.

How do you get a trash bin inside a toilet? It must be a big toilet eh? Don't fall in! Are we talking about the one with a handle on the side or on the outside?

Not that I like buying expensive tps but I usually buy a 4 ply toilet as I find it more comfortable to use.

Yes there are. The one I use, I buy it at SM Supermarket, Makati . It is white with some little white flowers. This is how it looks like. It is packed in a pink and white plastic bag with the following writings on the front side; Vanita, beautiful & strong Bathroom Tissue with refreshing floral scent, 4 ply 600's, hypo-allergenic, scented, premium Bathroom tissue. I wonder why you haven't found it in your supermarkets or it is exclusively sold only in Makati.

My toilet paper is white and is made from recycled material. It is also priced reasonable. I would never buy fancy toilet paper! It is a waste of money and there is no reason I need it! What I use is just fine! I think the people who use the fancy toilet paper are the people who think they are so perfect their sh*t doesn't stink!

Right now with the economy we get the toilet paper that is fairly cheap and somewhat soft. I never was into all of the fanciness of the toilet papers. Colored and perfumed toilet papers can cause yeast infections or cause problems for those with sensitive skin. A plain and basic toilet paper is just fine for what it is intended for.

Toilet paper does not come with color or designs here. It used to. People usually spend far too much on toilet paper just to show they may have the income to over spend. Ours is white and soft, I just look for the deals out there to save every nickle I can.

There are some brands that have coloured designs on them but usually, what I tend to do is wait until there is a toilet paper sale or special and buy in bulk.

Same here, as long as it does the job it doesn't matter what color it is

This is the only reason I would be at the mercy of lacking choice! The only reason white is only available hear is that all doctors will tell you colored paper is asking for trouble! Stores are only interested in what "flies off the shelf". Almost everyone prefers white!

One thing you can do is knit little wool coverings to hold your spare tp if want something decorative. There are many brands on the market and they vary in quality. The cheaper brands are rough and I simply will not buy tp that is recycled because I think that is simply disgusting. That was a joke you have to think about it for a moment to get it, oh groan, yuk! I do prefer the soft rolls as they are like cute little fluffy polar bears that play in my bathroom.

When I buy toilet paper I want it to be absorbent. I don't want to use two yards to get the job done either. I usually buy those big packages too as I don't like to have to buy it often and I don't want to take the chance of running out. I don't like that real soft stuff like Charmin either. It seems to give off fibers and seems dusty to me. Those colored toilet paper was made many years ago and now you can get the textured kind which isn't bad. I can't imagine putting it in a trash bin like beamer88 either as it dissolves in to nothing when wet.

I believe you can buy loo paper printed with the face of your least favourite politician. There is a wild sort of satisfaction in making your own political statement at least once a day!

I like to buy recycled toilet roll. I costs five pounds for twelve toilet rolls. These last for ages since there are so many of them. It gets used and then put down the toilet. Then the toilet is flushed. They are simple looking white toilet rolls. I know a cheap shop and they sell four ordinary looking kitchen rolls for ninety seven pence. I like getting four good kitchen rolls for less than one pound. It is not recycled but the ones that are happen to be pricey. I by diapers for my daughter and my disabled son gets four free nappies every twenty-four hours.

Hi Missybear, They still make colored and designer toilet paper?? I haven't seen any of that in so many years. I actually haven't seen it since some time in the 70's I think. I remember my mom buying to to match our bathroom. Then there was this big thing where the dye in the toilet paper was causing infections and I really thought they stopped making it. I know I can't just go into any local store and buy it...they don't have it.

I am not looking for a fancy print or color to decorate my bathroom. I am pretty basic when it comes to stuff like that. My paper towels are just white too unless I catch a good sale and they happen to be printed. I do have brand preferences but the ones I like are also reasonably priced.

Toilet paper only serves one purpose. it should not matter so much for fancy designs or textures. As long as it is soft and comforting, what more can you as? Toilet paper is not about appearance or expense, it is about serving the need it was made for.

haha I totally agree. I mean like duh!, I think it only have one major purpose and the job does not call for it to be fancy or anything like that. I just want my toilet paper to be super soft. I will not spend more money for it to be in a different color, printed or stuff like that.

Hi missybear, This made me laugh! I agree with you, though I do think the more expensive loo roll is kinder to the skin however, I go for the cheaper stuff not because of its' intended use and not because of budget; it's to do with the drains in this property. The more expensive toilet roll has more ply's and thicker paper which tends to block the toilets here really easily. I find there are less problems when I use the cheaper paper. It's average stuff and is not like sandpaper but neither is it like silk - but it does do the job so I'm happy with it. IrishGal77 :)

Same here, cheap but soft and our toilets can't handle the thick stuff either, they clog quite often.

I like to buy toilet paper that is paper that has been treated and recycled. It is white and it looks fairly plain. It is a thick roll and it goes down the toilet in pieces fine. I feel there is no need to have colored toilet roll or one with detailed patterns on. I like the fact it good for the environment. I buy a white kitchen roll that is cheap. It does its job perfectly and yet it comes at a low price. It costs ninety seven pence for four rolls. I get it in town from a budget minded shop. The toilet rolls I get from a supermarket in the High Street.

I agree with you. I buy the one that says 1,000 on it coz it last so much longer. I didnt know they made them with prints or colors anymore. Something about the dye causing cancer.

My wife prefers to buy the cheap ones too. I think it's 2ply or 4 ply, and she usually bought the big packs which is 18's/pack. I don't know if there are fancy TPs with prints and colors but ours are plain white. After it's purpose , it goes down the toilet anyway, so there no use buying TP's that are pleasing to the eyes.

Hi missybear! Just white and I will make sure I will go with the cheap one.(^^) Why bother to buy the colored and designated toilet paper? It is not like we are going to wear it somewhere or what. As long as there is toilet paper I don't mind what brand or how fancy it is. If someone give it as a free gift it will be just okay to purchase it with my own money, the white and cheap is my choice.(^^)

i like the soft TP but i don't care what colour it is as long as it doesn't hurt when i am "wiping" i also use TP for nose blowing too, again it has to be soft, i don't think fancy paper makes any difference to be honest, as long as it does the job then i am happy with it, however i have seen some nice stuff with little hearts and other designs, but it's not as soft as the stuff i use

Plain white is good enough to do the job. If you also blow your nose with it then you want it a little soft I'm sure otherwise your nose gets all red and raw, nobody can see your butt but they can see your nose

hahaha yeah exactly lol
