So, Sunday we needed to pick up some ink for the blind roommate to ink up her stamp pad. This is one of those that she uses instead of trying to sign things. While we were in Michael's we walked past the wood section and they had these "puzzles" by this company called "Creatology" They had a couple of doll houses, doll furniture to go in the doll houses, the Tower Bridge, the Temple of Heaven, and a flying dragon. I picked up two of the Gothic houses (tho I've now seen one I'd like more) http://www.amazon.com/Puzzled-Inc-1803-Gothic-House/dp/B000HWQDHA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_t_25 the doll house furniture and... the flying dragon! http://www.amazon.com/Puzzled-Inc-1516-Flying-Dragon/dp/B003LPV8OI/ref=pd_sim_sbs_t_33 So, I've put in about 5 hours the last couple of days putting together the flying dragon... needs a little work, but then I can paint it and figure out a way to hang it! Its going to be AWESOME! Have you ever done a 3-D puzzle? I have, but this is a first! On the other hand, I did put together a doll house for my niece about 20 years ago! You ever constructed a doll house?

I'm afraid that all my construction has been in the fabric media. I'm sure I constructed play houses and such for my kids, but that's too long ago to remember. Do gardens and flower beds count as construction?

I would say so... besides, my mom made us a little house out of an old sheet that she put over a card table when it rained for us to play in... no idea what we played since "house" wasn't one of my games!

I love doing puzzles. I actually bought a wooden elephant to do with a kid I work with. It was 3d and he got excited and really spent a lot of time working on it. I fibd them relaxing and was happy I found obe he liked too.

I like puzzles, but really, these barely qualify as puzzles, if it wasn't glued it fell apart, still, the dragon was neat looking!

The dragon does look pretty cool. I've never done anything like that.

hi Elicbxn that sounds like real fun. I love puzzles and to be creative with one would be fun. I have never done a three d puzzle but i would love to have a whack at it. I have put a doll house together.

I did a doll house too back about 20 years ago with my mom for my niece. I liked it so much that when my brother moved to Colorado, rather than worry about the movers breaking it, I ran up and brought it home. Its still out in one of my sheds.

My kids and I have put together a 3D foam puzzle....I forget what it was...a castle, church or something. Once we got the hang of it, it was a fun puzzle to do and nice to have sitting around to look at.

I did a foam one too, that swan castle in Germany. But the cats were not going to leave it alone and it fell to their not so tender mercies!

I have seen the animals, but I really don't have children, I like doll houses, and the dragon is just so cool!

I've done a couple of 3-D puzzles before. One was the White House and the other was a 4-story Victorian house. Did them with my kids so it was a family thing. They loved it as much as I did. They are such fun! I'll have to make a trip to Michael's now and have a peek at what they have. If they have a dragon, I'll have to pick that up and make it for my soon-to-be granddaughter's big brother. I think he'd love that hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom.

I've been having the two roomies join me while I work on the puzzles, why should they get to goof around when I'm slaving with that nasty glue?

I have not seen these but I think I will look for them. They sound like something my older girls would enjoy doing.

We got one for me and one for the roomie's niece, but I'll put it together (and probably glue the heck out of it) I kind of suspect that maybe we should wait until she's 3 to give it to her, since the wood is kind of fragile and she's not even 2 yet.
