So, Sunday we needed to pick up some ink for the blind roommate to ink up her stamp pad. This is one of those that she uses instead of trying to sign things.
While we were in Michael's we walked past the wood section and they had these "puzzles" by this company called "Creatology"
They had a couple of doll houses, doll furniture to go in the doll houses, the Tower Bridge, the Temple of Heaven, and a flying dragon.
I picked up two of the Gothic houses (tho I've now seen one I'd like more)

the doll house furniture and... the flying dragon!

So, I've put in about 5 hours the last couple of days putting together the flying dragon... needs a little work, but then I can paint it and figure out a way to hang it! Its going to be AWESOME!
Have you ever done a 3-D puzzle? I have, but this is a first!
On the other hand, I did put together a doll house for my niece about 20 years ago!
You ever constructed a doll house?

I'm afraid that all my construction has been in the fabric media. I'm sure I constructed play houses and such for my kids, but that's too long ago to remember. Do gardens and flower beds count as construction?

I love doing puzzles. I actually bought a wooden elephant to do with a kid I work with. It was 3d and he got excited and really spent a lot of time working on it. I fibd them relaxing and was happy I found obe he liked too.

My kids and I have put together a 3D foam puzzle....I forget what it was...a castle, church or something.
Once we got the hang of it, it was a fun puzzle to do and nice to have sitting around to look at.

I've done a couple of 3-D puzzles before. One was the White House and the other was a 4-story Victorian house. Did them with my kids so it was a family thing. They loved it as much as I did. They are such fun! I'll have to make a trip to Michael's now and have a peek at what they have. If they have a dragon, I'll have to pick that up and make it for my soon-to-be granddaughter's big brother. I think he'd love that hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom.

I have not seen these but I think I will look for them. They sound like something my older girls would enjoy doing.

We got one for me and one for the roomie's niece, but I'll put it together (and probably glue the heck out of it) I kind of suspect that maybe we should wait until she's 3 to give it to her, since the wood is kind of fragile and she's not even 2 yet.
