I had a Doctors apt with my regular Doctor today, and even though the wound right now has gotten a little bigger, she was Happy for the most part with a lot of my other results. It was also time to redo my A1c so we will see if that brings back a better result than January's as well. My weight was down 5 pds since 2 weeks ago. I am actually trying to loose some weight as I am using a product that is a weight loss protein shake by BodybyVi. It has been helping with weight control, as well as starting to have a lot more energy, and not being in as much pain with the Fibromyalga. Taking a lot less medication for it even. So personally even though the wound for now is not improving, other things are looking up and that is good. But using this new product, and now doing it as a Business is great News for me. Just thought it was worth sharing. ~~TINA~~

Well, I'm glad that things are getting better for you in the health department. What about that wound? It's not supposed to get bigger, is it?

Yes, the wound had not gotten any bigger like I was thinking it was. The skin around it was just deciding to break down due to allergic reaction from the rifampin. I have since started a New antibiotic which is helping the skin mend some, and things are looking better. They are still 100% believing that until I have the surgery to fix the veins in my legs, the wound will not heal like it should. Only God holds the answer.

Dear friend, I am in the medical field am by no means an expert, so maybe I would do well to abstain from commenting on your thread. Because you, have mentioned towards the end of a wound that you are not yet completely healed, I would like to know (if you ever have the pleasure of communicating it) what it is. However from what I read, it seems to me that you had some improvements in this period, and I am very happy for you! You can communicate with me if you want as a private message. My heartiest greetings!

Well, it is a Chronic wound due to being Diabetic, and also from having poor circulation in the veins in my legs. They are saying that until the veins are fixed this wound will not completely heal. I am hoping to know more this week on everything going on, and can finally feel like I am moving forward again.

Well, they did the Surgery today on the Right leg for the veins, and they are saying that is the main reason why this wound was not healing, and actually getting a little bigger so I guess we shall see what the results are. As for the Weight loss and energy it has been a needed plus as well.

It really makes you wonder, and makes you wish things could go back to like the Good ole days with doctors where everyone knew how to treat someone, instead of having to see one Doctor for this issue, and then this doctor for this issue, and then another doctor for this issue, and no one really keeping in touch to where when someone questions what you are doing without taking time to listen to you, and confering with all the others it makes you wonder what is Best for sure.

Well, the A1c was better. Still not down like I would like it to be, but I am hoping since I am being referred to a New diabetic doctor in about 2 weeks, and have had both leg vein surgeries that things will continue to improve from here, as being always on the Fence of never knowing what anyone will ever decide what they want to do next is getting old.

Well, what has been helping with the Fibro pain and weight loss, is what I keep posting about on Facebook from time to time. I still do have the Gabapentin if needed for the Fibromyalga, but the shake is what is helping the most since it is so full of protein. As for the wound, well had the right leg ablasion surgery, and going to the Wound clinic next week so hoping for the Best from here.

Glad to hear about the improvements with your health, Tina. I do wonder about that wound, though. Has your doctor said anything about what could be causing it to get larger?

Well, the fact that I am Diabetic, and the fact that the Blood flow was pulling down in my legs were the main issues. I had the Leg surgery, and trying to keep my Blood sugars under control, so now hoping that this wound with the help of the Wound healing center will be able to get this wound to help once and for all.

Oh it does feel good that I have had both vein surgeries and now waiting for the leg wound to heal, and really hoping somehow this time that it will really be as quick as they are saying. To continue to have all these issues can be quite frustrating at times. Waiting patiently for this all to end.

Well, for me it will depend a lot first on all the results with the leg vein surgeries as well as the wound that will determine what more I can do from here with other things like weight etc. to help with energy, etc. It has been a long haul for me, and personally I am sure everything will be worth it in the end.

Well, I really do not need to loose a lot of weight. I just am feeling a lot better knowing that the protein that is in the shake I am drinking is helping to make me feel better overall. Especially with my Fibromyalga and giving me more energy. If the wound would completely heal now that I have had the vein surgeries it would make it seem more complete.

Happy to hear this good news from you Tina. It's really great to endorse something that we use and have proven to be effective. I don't like selling something that claims to do some wonders but i haven't even tried it on myself. I'm really glad that your health is improving!

Well, the weight loss shake for me has helped me to loose some weight yes, but it is helping more to give me more energy as well as helping to where I do not hurt as much with my Fibromyalga as well. It will be nice finally when the wound on my leg is finally healed and I feel I can completely move on.

Well, I got the results back, and actually am quite annoyed with my Doctor I have been seeing as she knows little about Diabetes, and just patiently waiting until I can get into a Good endo who can evaluate things and help me get more back on track like I want to be without trying to cut my Insulin in half not understanding that I am type 1.5 instead of the type 2 like she tries to insist. But the A1c was better, just not down as well as I would like.
