Garlic Head, Not Heads of Garlic

Last night we went to Havana. Not Cuba, although we plan on visiting some day once it's cleaned up. We went to Havana, a Cuban restaurant. We've had Cuban food in New York and Miami. We like it. Cuban food has yummy spices and lots of garlic. It is quite delicious. Our Cuban food was loaded with garlic last night. It was quite delicious, too. Most people get garlic breath from eating garlic. We did, as well. However, my husband kissed me on the top of my head this morning. He told me my head smelled like garlic. I didn't smell his head. I believed him. It would smell like garlic, too.

I love Cuban food!! We usually order garlic chicken, so I know what you mean how it can be loaded with garlic - good garlic! I don't mind the smell of it, but apparently some people really don't like it.

@DianneN It is! I've had it in my foods all my life, so I guess I don't think much of the smell of garlic. Good thing I am not in the dating stage . . . Hubby understands garlic .

Isn't it delicious? Garlic can be rather stinky after being eaten, but what the heck!

I once ate a dish that had too much garlic, and so now I don't really like it anymore. I can eat things with garlic if it's mixed with other flavors well.. but if it stands out too much I won't like it.

So many foods are loaded with garlic. I never had it until I ate at my Italian roommate's house. I was hooked at once, but probably didn't know how stinky I smelled.

I never had Cuban food but I guess it would close to Mexican. I love garlic but not the smell. Thankfully, I live alone so when I have it, no one will die.

I am a garlic lover! My husband loves garlic too. When I cook with it he often says I didn't add enough of it! I heard about rubbing a clove of garlic on your bare foot and within 15 minutes you can taste it in your mouth. So, I do believe you when he said that your head smelled like garlic.

@DianneN They say if you wash your hands using a metal spoon after you chop garlic it washes away the odor. I am one of those nutballs that actually likes the smell of garlic on my hands.

I know that the garlic smells bad, but it's good and it's great for our health. I should have more in winter.

It is healthy for us and is delicious! However, it makes our breath stinky, and in my instance, my head, too.

I love garlic cooked in food. It really enhances the flavor. I have had a little bit of Cuban food before and it was tasty.

Haha that is interesting that even your head smelled like garlic this morning. Did you shower last night after dinner? I can smell onions on me for days after I eat it when I sweat. I never realized garlic did the same thing. I love garlic!

I showered before we went out to dinner. Then I showered again before we went out to dinner again and had more food with garlic. It's a losing battle for me. Lol! Onions are just as bad, but I love them both. They are both notorious for causing people to be stinky.

Cuba is pretty run down now. We are close, but I'll wait for it to clean itself up a bit, while maintaining its charm and character. Yes, Cuban food is delicious!

Any amount of garlic makes one smell, but a lot makes one reek!
