My Activity number keeps falling

This must be the strangest thing that I have experienced here. On Friday I got the impression that my activity figure had fallen. This can easily happen if several discussions are deleted, but cannot happen often because I try to avoid responding to discussions that are dubious. Shortly afterwards I got the impression that the figure had fallen again, so I made a note of the activity number. On Friday evening it was 42608. When I awoke on Saturday it had definitely gone down again, which seemed extremely odd. It also dropped several times yesterday, despite my spending a fair amount of time here interacting. This morning my activity level is showing as 42544, which is less than it was 2 days ago. Has anybody else experienced anything like this recently, or have any ideas as to what may have happened?

There is only one reason for this and that is that discussions in which you have been involved have been deleted. I know that you don't often respond or comment in discussions which are likely to be deleted by Admin so I suspect that someone whom you often interact with is deleting their own discussions. I know at least one person who has done this from time to time (and that person has, I believe, done so quite recently). It wouldn't be appropriate to name the person here but I have no doubt that you won't find it difficult to identify him/her.

Firstly, this has happened numerous times in recent days. Secondly, I know that some members do this, but it would result in my activity never progressing in the slightest, yet some members have accumulated vast figures.

@owlwings The repetition of it is what makes that seem unlikely to me.

@Asylum The only person who would be able to say whether there were some fault or, perhaps, an adjustment or recalculation happening internally would be @mylotbugs. However, I think it more likely that the explanation I gave is the correct one.

The only figure I watch with any degree of regularity is my myLot bank balance. That and my weight, I would not like to lose my slim and rugged sylph-like figure either...

Someone might have deleted some of his/her discussions, a few members are doing it on a regular basis. Or a member has asked to the admin to delete his/her account with all the content. Or a member has been banned.

The deletion of a member's account would cause a drop, but not on several occasions over a couple of days.

There are people who delete discussions or responses by their own. I try to avoid responding to discussions that are dubious. My discussions aren't dubious, I am dubious! I never delete my responses though, don't worry. As long as earnings don't go down, I'm fine.

My reference to dubious discussions was to highlight the fact that I was not adding comments to those which were very likely to be deleted. I agree that one or two people delete comments, but that would also lower my earnings.

@sabtraversa Many old members who returned here began by deleting all their old discussions, but I never noticed a vast drop in my activity level.

@Asylum Yes, I understood what you meant. My discussion can look nice and genuine (not dubious) but I might still want to delete them someday, that's why "I am dubious". As @JolietJake said, you won't lose any earnings. You might miss some potential earnings though, if someone ever happens to be reading your response/comment and is willing to interact with it. Activity equals potential earnings, not safe earnings.

I have noticed it but had put it down to misreading the numbers. I try to have my activity numbers go up by 100 before I submit a new discussion... A couple of times last week I thought that the number seemed lower than when I had logged off. I guess maybe it wasn't my imagination.

I was unsure at first, which is why I made a note of the figure when it seemed to happen a second time. To end up with a lower number after two days suggests a very large reduction, which is hard to understand.

Yes, I noticed the same with mine about a week ago. I knew at the end of March mine had passed 19500. But few days later I noticed it was way below 19500. I think admin was doing some kind of accounts or discussions clean up. I noticed my Followers number also reduced at the time. Maybe there was another big clean up done just this past few days. And this time it affected members/discussions you interacted with not necessarily recently.

If the Followers fell then that would suggest that some old members were removed, which would also explain the activity drop.

@sishy7 It seems as though the old members are not being deleted because I looked up the first friend that I had here. She has not posted for 8 years but is still a member.

@Asylum Yes, I noticed both my activity and followers numbers dropped at the time. The activity number was a huge drop (in the hundreds) while the followers number was only a few. I figured there was some kind of discussions and accounts clean up going on (could be old or recent discussions and accounts).

Some users here have deleted ALL their discussions (I do not know the reason why they did), also my figures dropped. There are also people that now delete some comments when they consider that are not pertinent to their discussions.

@LadyDuck That would have to be in several stages and also someone that I have interacted with a great deal because my activity is still below 2 days ago. This amounts to a very large drop.

@Asylum You are right, I usually do not interact with people who I notice will not last more than a week, but as I said I noticed that at least two users deleted all their posts.

Yes they would, which is why I was unconcerned initially. However, since I noticed and began to monitor, it fell numerous times and I still have less activity than I had on Friday. That must amount to a fair amount of material.

I have not noticed this as i don't pay attention to that. With the warmer weather approaching that seems when mylot gets quieter as alot more people out out and about with their families enjoying the fresh air.

No I did not experience it. Yes because admin may have deleted some of the discussions where you responded caused the fall in your activity statistics.

That is unlikely because I try to avoid discussions that may be deleted, so falling several hundred comments or responses is extremely unlikely.

@sjvg1976 If it continued at the recent rate I would end up with less than when I returned to Mylot.

I haven't noticed my number but I think that it must have dropped as well, because I have seen active users who have deleted all their past discussions. Maybe they did that in stages so your number dropped gradually.

I never pay attention to the numbers, even the money number in the corner I forget to look at. (much to my detriment as I often have to wait for a payment because I didn't notice I was close and could have beefed up my time here) Anyway, probably the powers that be are making changes behind the scenes.

Until I happened to notice the strange falls in activity recently I paid little attention either. After checking for 2 days I find that I have less activity now than at the start. Interacting for 2 days and having a lower figure seems absurd.
