Can you hit a nail with a hammer on it's head without missing and hitting

You're not rude at all, bala. I've simply had the hammer bounce back into my face or head. It happens sometimes.

ROFLMAO!!! When my parents were building their house....my mom broke her nose from a hammer bouncing back and hitting her. It wasn't funny then, but we did move mom into other activities that didn't include any hand tools.

No, LOL. I tap tap the nail lightly to get it in place and then I move my fingers out of the way and hit the nail hard to drive it into the wood, silly. I never hit it hard when first trying to get it to start into the wood.

Unfortunately those very first tappings are the disastrous ones for me.

Tell me about it. I used to do that too. Now I just get it sterted and then I tap it a little harder with my fingers out of the way and then once it gets going. I put both hands on the hammer and wahck it LOL. My husband just laughs at me, but it does work. I laugh when he wahcks his finger for not doing it like I do or when the nail goes flying.
