We finally get spring and now it snows again.

Yesterday morning we woke up to snow on the ground. Now I am not exactly fond of cold weather. So I was rather disappointed when I discovered I could no longer put on my sandals and I would have to wear nylons to Church, if this cold weather continues past Sundays. I see that Saturday is gong to be cold, it forecast 36 degrees F by the look at the little weather thing below my browser. And they talk of global warming. So when is Spring going to be here to stay or should I expect a snow storm in July. Oh I am getting really down now.

My husband does not want me to have one. He thinks it is like on the farm where I would be weeding from sunup to sundown. I was thinking of getting those container boxes and putting them near the back door, but I am on a budget and I would have to pay for it myself. He has the whole back in grass and he hates mowing the lawn. We were thinking of landscaping, but it would cost at least $3,000. I already planted the two blueberry bushes and they are doing okay and a while ago I started the strawberry patch and I also planted some coriander.

It did snow one day in May. But the rest of the month was all right. And now it is June and we did not get that zero freezing overnight, so we can now plant some stuff, that if my husband decides that we need a garden, but he probably won't because he thinks of a garden like those large vegetable gardens they had on the farm back in Saskatoon, where there was a foot between everything.

It appears that this is going to be one crazy year for the weather. We have had some pretty decent days so far. We have had a good amount of rain but I see this afternoon the some of the flowers are wilting and need water already after last weeks good rain. Right now I have the air on for a little while because it was getting very warm in the house. I'm going to turn it off pretty soon.

We always have weird weather here in Manitoba. Like it is now June and last week we had this horrific thunderstorm, and before that it was hot as blazes. And sometimes I go out in the morning, it is so cold I need my jacket and have to wear slacks, but then I wish I had worn my shorts. Oh and after that thunderstorm, the soil quickly dried up and I just planted some blueberry bushes. However the soil is quite rich around them. It is surprising we did not see any banana trees springing up as well.

It is starting here in Manitoba. It seems we have only two season here: Winter and Summer. Either it is too cold or too hot. I like it hot, but well I am of the age when I do not look that good in shorts or rather the shorts for ladies my size are the ugliest things imaginable, flip floppy all the time, although I did find a couple of tailor ones in Walmart, but now they are too large and have now turned into hipsters.

Our weather is a bit colder than normal for the time of year that it is, but it has not been too bad. We have had hardly any snow this year and we have just been getting showers which is normal for the time of year. It is a pain though when the weather keeps swopping and changing all the time and is also why everyone gets ill too.

We had some cool spells in May and I get bronchitis easy so I had been drinking a lot of that throat tea and taking some tablets (echinachea -cannot spell it right) so I would not get a cold. Now it is quite warm so I hope the cold and miserable weather is over, although we did have a thunderstorm last week.

Yeah. Where's all that global warming when you NEED it? Just remember...it snowed in LA this year!

We got to blame this unusual cold weather on someone. I know I do not blame God. After all HE does things to frustrate certain groups like Global Warmers, telling them it is not getting warmer, so I think we should lay the blame on the Global Warmer Aye-Sayers and Predictors themselves. How about it? It is all their fault!

Wow, I wonder about global warming when I hear stories about this. But here, in Southern California, we are having a heat wave. It's going to be in the 90s this weekend. It was almost that hot at my house today.

Global warming is a scam to transfer money from the rich western world to the poor Asian and African world. Problem it does not work. Food prices go sky high and that means no one can afford to donate to the poor countries. It still gets 40 to 60 below in January up here. I would think that in Southern California it is hot a lot of the time. Also God is in charge of the weather, not man and the cure for this false global warming would be horrible in cost of human lives and would put us into the dark ages or worse, into an area where live is cheap

Well, we haven't gotten any more snow, knock on wood. It is chilly today, after a couple of spectacular days. I really need to get some yard work done.

I hope not. We sometimes get snow in June here and then we get really worried because by then the gardens have been planted. We do not have one, except for the blueberries, strawberries, and the raspberries. But now we have to worry about the birds. They are so bold here they step aside when you walk on the sidewalk, they just do not fly off.

It is now almost June, and I am afraid we will have a cold spell, like one day of below zero. When we lived in Saskatoon, no one dared to plant until the first week of June because even though May was lovely and warm there was one day in the beginning of June that it suddenly froze. I know there is Indian summer, but I wonder what they call this: Indian winter?

I know how you feel. We finally got spring weather and then it frosted here. We have had 70 to 80 degree weather since then though. The weather people think we may skip right over spring and head straight into summer now. The weather has been very weird over the last two years.

That sounds like Manitoba. We seem to have only two seasons Summer and Winter. Either it is too cold or too hot. The trouble is I prefer it too hot while the most people here prefer it too cold. Now I suppose there will be one cold day in June when everything freezes.

Here in Texas it has been hot then cool, like it couldn't make up its mind whether to be spring or winter. It has finally gotten really hot now, with temps in the upper 90's so maybe there is hope. Hopefully this will be your last winter storm!

It is. Most of the time it is hot, We had a big thunderstorm this week, and when it is over, it is so humid that you almost cannot stand it, but the ground is drying up fast. Now it is getting warm. On and tomorrow it will be in the eighties. I can take the heat, but there are some here who prefer it to be forty below.

I found that this year winter lingered on for a long time. We got snow right into May this year, here in Calgary. But I know sometimes we also get snow in July, never staying on the ground, but falling in flakes. Three years ago we got a big winter snow storm on the May long weekend and we couldn't get out of our house for 3 days after that one. But thankfully this year we didn't get the big storm. It is now 3 months later, after you posted this discussions, so I would imagine that the snow is now gone since it is July. Have a nice warm and sunny summer, my friend.

The snow is all gone, but everything is growing like mad, including the dandelions, oh especially the dandelions. We did have some hail storms, and a few thunderstorms, one that happened to catch me when I went to the bank. I got outside after doing what I went there for and the rain really came down. I walked as much under the overhangs as I could, and then I remembered that well I have to pay over one hundred dollars for my shoes if my sandals got damaged, so I took them off, put them in my shopping bag and walked all the way home in my bare feet.
But at least it was not snowing.

Being a people person, I would see with the high price of gas and taking out food production for ethanol (encouraged by the global warmers) the elderly and the poor would have a hard time of it. Oh and people do eat the produce of the crops, and the wild animals can adapt and there are so many animal lovers, that they will put places where the animals can come for food and shelter. It is the crops we have to worry about. If the season is too short, then the cost of food goes up, and you must make a choice pay more for good quality food or pay less for junk food. Then your health suffers.

Trouble is that global warming might not be right. So it might be good to find alternative energy like solar panels, wind windmills, and geothermo energy, but when you take the food product out by converting corn and wheat fields for ethanol production, the people suffer. And what if they discover that Al Gore was wrong and it was wrong to boycott the scientists who said we were in for a cooling period, man was not to blame, and this was just a phrase and as soon as it was over, it would cool down, then there will be many people who will suffer.
I think we have to see all sides of the story and not just believe Al Gore or those who think that the way to solve global warming is to freeze and have hardly any children.

Thank you. It is starting to get up to seasonable normals here (as if there are some) so that means back to sandals, but now I have to buy some new clothes. I lost weight.

We have had a glorious week of warm weather, temps in the upper 70's and 80's all week. Now we are back to the 60's, but that is to be expected in April. I remember when we moved to our current home 8 years ago at the end of April. It snowed a foot and we were moving the last of our things. That was fun. The next week we were sitting in the sun.

We are now getting our warm weather and planting things -well, I did plant a couple of blueberry bushes and this lady asked me if it would survive. Well I am rather brave and I said yes, that is where I had the compost pile so anything will grow there. I wish my husband let me have a garden. I cannot see me hauling some dirt and boxes for a container garden.

Isnt that always the way? I dont think it will last that long. We have had beautiful weather here for a couple of weeks now and this weekend the weather will be dropping to the 50s. With some rain. But we really do need the rain. You just never know!

I love snow. We don't get much here but we did get a snow storm in March that was about 5 and half inches. Thats the most snow we've had in several years. The only problem is it melted right away. It gets so hot and humid here and I dread seeing summer. It was 89 degrees yesterday. This weekend is suppose to be in the upper 70's. I don't mind that so much.

I don't like snow that much. I feel the cold way too much, so I prefer the temperature to be 68 degrees and above.I hope it warms up, because it will be May soon and we have to get ready for planting.

Oh I feel for you. Spring is here in Ohio and I am so glad. I hate winter! It is supposed to get down in the 50's during the day and 30's at night next week but I'm not complaining because at least we haven't gotten snow. It has been raining but that is way better than snow. It has been beautiful here and in the 60's and 70's. I hope Spring comes back for you soon. :)

So do I. We had a strong wind yesterday and it was blowing against me when I went to help clean the Church, I had to get the church from another member, and in the evening, I had to go to another friend's house to practice my singing. Yes, the wind was against me as well.

I would love to see snow, even just for a day.
Global warming means more extreme temperatures, so that includes it getting colder in winter too.

Global warming is a scam. It is a way to punish us Westerners and us people of European descent for the progress we made. The farmers in the States are converting their wheat fields into corn, and their corn fields from feeding people and animals to growing corn for ethanol to make the price of food higher. So the intention is to starve the Western World and bring it into poverty as it was back when the Roman Empire was on and the areas around the equator the bread basket of the ancient world and our ancestors were freezing in the cold. They want us to remove our carbon footprints and do you know what that means, maybe a rule that it is all right for people in Asia and AFrica to have children, but not for us.
It has always been cold in winter here in Manitoba, Canada and coldest in January, now it was coldest in February. Wait a few years and we will not be able to heat our homes and there will be cases of starvation in the West.
