dragon_ I know all about the slow stuff. You hold onto someone and sway. That's my best dance as well.

kylie_ I took ballet lessons when I was a young girl as well. I enjoyed my time there, but I didn't excel.

It means smile or something expressing happiness,I think we often used it in text messages here in our country nowadays. I remember my mom and dad practicing the cha-cha-cha before they went to the country club to dance. I can still hear my mom saying 'one, two, cha, cha, cha. My dad needed extra help.

Do you ballroom dance with a partner?

Once I have been in a club but now I'm dancing in parties of friends.

It's possible that my determination willed me into stopping my efforts.

I like free form dance the best as well. The body speaks as the music and rhythm command.

I tried line dancing one time. Everytime they went right, I went left. If it was forwards, I went backwards. I had to get out before someone tripped over me.

I also tried jazzersize with the same results. Some of us have to accept our limitations. I accept the fact that I can't dance. But I can write!

sk66rc_ that's so cool. The Tango is a very sexy dance. I heard somewhere that the dance originated with the gauchos. They smelled so bad, the ladies kept their distance and had a flower in their hair to mask the odor.

I don't know if it's true, I'm glad it's not true today.

Ok, now you made me blush with that last comment, ha ha... Thank you... It's the dance that makes me look half decent, not by me alone... lol... But really, they say if you can walk, you can tango... It's that easy... Try taking a class or two... They'll start you out with walking... Not that you don't know how to walk but this is done in a way of dance, a bit exaggerated but intended, focused... From there they turn that into a dance... Have fun, after all, that's the point of dancing unless you're thinking about competitions...

Depends on where you live... You can look up local newspapers, sometimes they'll list lessons, classes, parties, etc... Internet is always a good place to start, look up tango classes, google it... Look for classes or lessons in your area... When I learned my, I just moved to U.S... First formal function my parents too me to... My parents came to U.S. first then few years later, I came to U.S... I was little shy at the time & the class helped me a lot to make friends here...
