Will you go for walks in flip flops?

I would not walk anywhere in flip flops, not even in my house. UGH! I know my daughter walks lots of places in them even though they have to make her feet hurt (she'd never admit that, of course).
They are not designed to be walking shoes, per se. In the 50's when I was a small kid they were supposed to be for wearing at the beach so that your feet didn't burn from the hot sand. Then later they were supposed to be good for wearing in a public shower or swimming pool area to avoid athletes foot. But walking shoes? Nope

No I will not go for a walk in fli flops. I have really soar feet. I can hardly walk on them sometimes. They hurt in the morning and every time I sit it is hard to get back up and going. I have nop choice though, I am on feet all day. Sixteen hours today. Take care of your feet today. They have to last your whole life.

I like to wear flip flops. i pretty much live in them in the summertime. I only wear crocs if I cant find them. I like to be comfortable in the summertime and often like to go barefoot. I mostly confine my barefoot walking to the house. I think I would sorely regret if I wanted to walk out on to the road or even the driveway without the
flip flops.

Though I am allowed somewhat casual wear to work at my children's school, I would not wear flip flops there. I do have to do a lot of walking or even running in an emergency or something that I need something that will not be flopping all over the place. I have gone in with sandals that have heel support but that is it. I am not really a big fan of flip flops that don't have built in arches as I do find then hard on the feet. I am glad to see that more and more styles of them now do have the arches.

there are times i love wearing flip flops and at times i love wearing flat shoes. it really depends on my mood. for long walks, i usually used my flat shoes. i don't really want my foot get dirty...

I have to wear things on my feet with a bit more support than flipflops offer, so I usually stick to sandals or shoes. I think flipflops are a bit dangerous for anything more than casual use because of their flat bottoms but I'm also very clumsy!

I like to wear flip flops for short walks. They are so quick and easy to just slide on your feet.

Oh it was so weird for me to call these type of foot wear flip flops because I am not american. I am an Australian and we call them thongs. If I had called them thongs in my first sentence, all americans would think I would be talking about underwear. American's would think I am weird if I was wearing underwear on my feet. Lol

I always have a little giggle at the differences in the words we use for the same things. But that is different countries for us.

I wear flip flops everywhere myself. I have tennis shoes and I seldom if rarely put them on. It's so easy to get going when I have to. I'll even take them on long walks if I had to.

i always wear my flip flops too, i'm loving it.sometime, i go to school with flip flops since we are allowed there..

i wear my flip flops because if i wear my tennies my feet will get all sweaty and i dont like it my feet need to breath
