Yes,I agree with this. My husband has been my bestfriend even before we had a relationship. This is why I know all about his past relationships and all that. He also know who my guy friends are, In fact, when he is not around,he knows who to call to keep an eye on me.

There's nothing wrong to share your past to your husband, and introduce him your men friends. But i understand that not all husband are very understanding, some are too jealous and malicious.My husband is not jealous or malicious type of person, i have lots of friends that i introduced to him and he don't mind if i have a men friends,as long as i don't kiss and sleep with them.Happy myloting!

yeah i think so. There are some couples who started as best friends and some of them end up in a good marriage relationship. So its clearly possible that your bestfriend will soon become your husband.

I'm married for 6y and in my marriage there is no secrets.If my husband knows me then he will be ok if I have man-friends.And there is one thing that is very important u and ur partner have to be best friends in the first place.

Hey there, I am not yet married but I strongly believe that you need to be able to share everything you have in mind with your life partner and not be paranoid and cautious to say what you want to say to your partner. I don't think living a life where you should pretend all the time with your partner is a very good life. I believe mutual respect and understanding is what is Ideal. But, of course there are some people who wouldn't care.

I could never understand that myself...I have a lot of guy friends and always have and if someone I was dating or my husband or bf didnt like it then we'd have a problem because I'm not passing up my friends for ANY man..If my men can't or dont trust me we have no biz being together becuase i've never given them reason to NOT trust me ya knwo...It'd be different if I had cheated or was trampy etc then ok I could see it but I'm not so it'd be totally unwarrented IMO..

I honestly think that when a person has to or feels the need to hide certain platonic friends from their partner they need to re-evaluate their relationship..

Your husband should be your best friend and if not make him one. A lot depends on how understanding your husband is and the kind of relationship you both have and maybe even your past relationships. If you broke off with your BF before marriage and are now totally dedicated to your current relationship then there should not be any problem but if you still continue to have some emotional atatchment then your husband may feel hurt and you may not be able form a bond with your husband. Don't hurt the feelings of those who love you. It is better to tell and deal with the problems than to hide and be discovered later because that would break all the trust between you and your hubby.

I think your husband should be your best friend. I feel you should be able to share everything with him especially about male friends. If you don't share it with him he may become suspicious of the friendships. As a wife I would be suspicious if my husband hid friendships with women from me. If a man and woman feel compelled to be married they too should feel they can be best friends and share everything with each other. The vows say to love, honor and cherish. I believe being honest with the spouse is part of that.
