“I have to go to the bathroom!”

my boys are grown now but they use to the same thing. i'd see one of them coming toward the house at 90 miles an hour i knew to get out of the way.lolthe hand washing & the light left on is your job to teach them todo that.

My children do not do that but they are probably older than yours. Maybe you should tell them to find a tree see if it changes anything. I have a 12 year old that doesn't wash his hands after and it makes me nuts considering that I have a four year old that washes his hands without being told.

I am also wondering why kids are like that? my nephew is the same. while running to the bathroom, announcing at the same time. But he knows how to clean after using the bathroom. They just need to be taught. We never tolerate them leaving their mess.

Hahahah, I can sooooo relate to this one. I can't count how often I shouted, "JUST GO ALREADY!!!" And if they poop they don't turn on the fan..... I find out when the stink waves come through the house, YUCK! I had one who for a while wouldn't flush. She feared she would be sucked in, lol.

lol...my older one never did the 'pee pee' dance...but I have kids at school who do it. I guess it's because they can't really control it...and they think if they stand still in the same place for a few seconds they can stop the pee from coming out before they reach the toilet. Most kids wait till they can't hold it any longer to go running to the toilet.

My kids didn't stop long enough in front of the bathroom to do the dance, they just went straight to the bathroom but announcing where they were going and what they had to do. hahahaha The only time they did do the dance is if someone was in there before them.

My son used to do that, but now he just screams, "BATHROOOM" and runs across the house to get to the bathroom. He is really good about turning off the light, but he is terrible about washing his hands.

Sometimes the way kids make and keep connections with their parents certainly are interesting on any given day, aren't they? LOL

All I can add to this one is to cherish every moment watching the pee pee dance and reminding them to wash hands and flip off the light.

They sound like an awfully lot of fun, gitfiddleplayer, yet I'm sure it can get pretty trying at times.

I think kids tells their parents or any adult when they have to go because they feel they still need help or assistance. Maybe in taking off their clothes. And or course, while the parents are there with their kids helping them out they should guide them proper ways of bathroom etiquette. Until they don't forget and get used to doing it.

That is because they are kids. They also have no control and they have been too busy playing that they wait until the last minute. They also want to be sure no one will rush in before them. Oh you have to show them that they have to wash their hands because of some horrible germ will make them sick. And if they do not make a face so they will get the idea that it is to get rid of the smell even if it really does not.
