Where Are the Third Party Candidates in these "presidential" debates?  

I was wondering the same thing. Though many people feel that if they don't vote McCain or Obama then their vote is wasted. I think that it is time that we look at the other canidates. The other four people running for President of the USA are:

Cynthia McKinney
Bob Barr
Ralph Nader
Charles Baldwin

I plan on checking each one out.

It irritates me to no end that 3rd party candidates are getting ZERO press. Our elections are far from fair. We are stuck with tweedle dee and tweedle dumb. Neither Obama nor McCain have done anything really impressive. They have both managed to demonstrate idiotic, wreckless behavior throughout their campaigns. Between the people they associate themselves with to their picks for VP I don't know which is worse.

I just wish we would have someone come in to actually LEAD this country. Until our elections aren't based solely on money that's just not going to happen.

It really is shameful the way the press pretends there are only two political parties in this country. There hasn't been a third party candidate in the debates since Ross Perot and he was only allowed in because George H.W. Bush insisted he be allowed at the debates. Sure that choice came back to bite him in the a$$, but it was the right thing to do. I just wish the press hadn't gone back to their exclusionary tactics in the very next election.

Which again shows just how unreliable the media is for gathering information. It doesn't matter what station, company, or "journalists" you use - most of them will only tell you what they want you to know.

I imagine all of their head's would explode if we did away with the two party system, and instead went for multiple parties, or threw political parties out the window altogether like George Washington would have wanted. How could they possibly contribute to partisan bias and misleading the public when they had to keep up with so many more people? Meh - they'd probably just pick their favorites like they always do and completely ignore the rest. Then when supporters of those candidates make enough of a fuss for them to give and donate some small slice of air time to someone other than their prized pony...erm candidate, I mean.

They are being ignored as always. The press pushes them out so that people on think they have two choices. They do not want third parties to be viable so they use their power to make sure they are not. Thank goodness we are in the computer age. We need to use that to get the word out more. Look at what ROn Paul was able to do.
Third party candidates really need a huge push. They need to start NOW getting ready for the next election. making sure they can get into debates. Raising money. Being more visable. Let the public get to know them. That is what is killing them. No one knows about them.

I am personally looking for a local third party support group. I know this election is lost. But I want to go ahead and start working on the next one. Not just one a national level but also the local elections. We need more third party candidates in all levels of government. The biggest problem I am seeing is that they are not as well organized as the need to be and therefore have a harder time getting things done. I believe the only way it will change is if more of us get involved and help. So I am going to get involved.
