Do you ever wish these medical studies would make up their minds? One day what you think is healthy isn't the next day. Do you have problems keeping it straight?
Vitamins C and E don't prevent heart disease
These pills taken by millions of Americans — do nothing to prevent heart disease in men, one of the largest and longest studies of these supplements has found.
Vitamin E even appeared to raise the risk of bleeding strokes, a danger seen in at least one earlier study.
Now there may be evidence that Vitamin C has some link to cancer, GEEZ! Of course this is just one article, but stuff like this leaves your head spinning.

I have never listened to anything the so called experts say. I consider myself a very healthy person, and I don't take any extra vitamins, but I eat fairly well. The way I see it, I don't want to live too long anyways. I don't want to be so old I can't care for myself anymore. I don't want to end up in a nursing home, not being able to speak or use the bathroom, or bathe by myself. I don't want someone to have to feed me or dress me. I'd rather leave this world with my dignity in tact at a decent age, and fully capable. So, if that means I don't get to see 100, so be it.
I'd rather have a quality life than too many years. And for me, quality life means not taking pills on a daily basis, being able to eat junk food if I so choose, and of course sharing my life with my family.
People lived quality lives long before these so called experts came out and told them that everything they were doing was bad for them. Maybe they only lived to be about 60 or 70, but they lived well, and loved life. Well if you ask me, that lifestyle wasn't broken... so why try to fix it?

I thought one took vitamin C to prevent colds and it had nothing to do with heart disease. And I suppose it was those who had eaten enough vitamin C or more then enough in their diets, just as what the case was with Vitamin E. So one never knows about these studies. They have not put all the facts together. So who is paying for the study?

That gets on my nerves too. They keep changing their minds on what is good and bad for us. I say we live our own lives. We all have our days numbered as it is.

Well, I am initially disinclined to believe that.. but we'll see what medical science says after a bit of time to review the details. As far as I can tell, overall, Vitamin C is good. (Especially if you eat fresh fruit to get it.)

I believe all the studies are right. Sounds strange huh.. Well our bodies although they are the same they are also just as different. I think they work for some and not for others. What does one put into body what kind of enviroment do they live in and so forth. How ones body reacts to it.

Well for me for as long as you consume the right dosage for these vitamins then I think we should be on the safe side. Taking higher doses of these are also not good in taking these as they may cause harm. the key in here is balance and moderation on all things. The studies you are mentioning cannot be based at all because I am pretty sure there is another study that would refute that so leave them on their studies and go on with your life.
