Do you like to watch older movies?

I don't mean really old classical ones, but movies that are over 10 years old. Sometimes we get in the mood to see a movie we haven't seen in a long time. Tonight we're going to watch Jurassic Park. We haven't seen that in a very long time. We rented it through Blockbuster.com. The next 2 movies we're going to recieve from Blockbuster.com will be the 2nd and 3rd Jurassic Park movies, so we'll end up seeing all 3 in a row. Have you seen an older movie recently? If you decided to rent an older movie that had sequals, would you get the sequal as well to see them together?

We love to watch the old movies. In fact last night hubby and I watched Shrek. What a great movie. And we like it even more after riding the Shrek ride at Universal Orlando. We own a lot of the oldies but goodies and watch them overe and over. Movies like Black Sheep, the Vacation movies, and Ace Ventura Pet Detective are still so funny

The only one other than Shrek that you mentioned that I know is Pet Detective and I hated that movie so much. I'm not really crazy about stupid humor, and that movie made me very apprehensive about seeing any other Jim Carrey movies.

I love Shrek! I gave the Shrek III to my grandchildren last Christmas and haven't gotten to see it yet! But I could sit and watch them lots. I also love Remember the Titans. My grandchildren have lots of the good movies we love including Forrest Gump. That movie is so good.

I used to love watching the older movies, cowboys especially. I also loved many of the older movies that were around. It has been a long time since I really watched a film now. I was not too much for the jurassic park films but our kids liked them but I would have to try and watch the whole lot of the films if there was more than one.

Some movies, if I've already seen the sequals and know I don't like them, I won't bother a second time and I'll just see the first that I do like. Or with some movies the sequal seemed too different from the original, so I didn't bother.

Yes, I just watched a movie yesterday. One of them was called Jack Frost and Matilda. I loved watching it. It was very funny and I enjoyed it.. I do love to watch older movies of 10 years and such. It brings back old memories..

I love all the real old movies with the stars that mostly have passed away. I even love the black and white ones. Some of those movies I could watch over and over. Gone with the Wind with Clark Gable is one of my favorites. I will watch it each time it comes on television. There are so many of the older actors/actresses that I love to watch, they are just too numerous to recall. I love that we have the Hallmark Channel and Ted Turner Classics on our satellite. They have so many of the older movies and programs. I also love the old, old westerns with Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Gary Cooper, Clint Eastwood, and others - just anything really western where the men actually look the part - not some of the newer actors that try to look like a cowboy.

Yeah because most of the new movies are based off older ones.

I like to watch older movies. Even the old black and white classics. They may not have had the technology but they really acted. Jurassic park, in my opinion, is one of the best movies ever made.

I'll watch older movies on tv if they come on but I don't rent them. If we go out to rent movies we only get movies that we haven't already seen. I like to watch older movies on tv though. The truman show was on tonight and I was watching it again. Not the greatest movie that Jim carey has made but i'm a huge fan of his so I watched it again anyway.

I may not spend money on renting an old movie, but I have a subscription to Blockbuster.com, so I can get any movie I want, new or old. We added new releases, plus older movies we haven't seen yet but wanted to, and older movies we have seen and want to see again. It's a pretty good deal.

I love lots of older movies, including some really old. If a movie's good it's good forever, no matter how much time passes. Maybe the special effects weren't as fantastic and realistic years ago as they are now but that doesn't always make the movie, in fact some if not most of my favorites haven't had any special effects at all. Not too long ago HBO was running all the Back to the Future movies, all of which I'd seen in the theater when they came out, but I recorded them all and watched them back to back. Years ago on New Year's Eve USA Network ran all the Porky's movies in a row and my husband and I sat up and watched them all. They were kind of trashy but "good" trashy...lol...and very funny! Annie

I like to watch older movies sometimes. This past weekend I watched Steel Magnolia's and Phenomenon on TBS. I also watched part of Matilda with the kids. I don't normally go through and watch all the movies in a series in a row like that, but I bet it would be fun.

Steel Magnolias used to be my favorite movie when I was young. My favorite color was pink because of that movie, lol. It had a sad ending. I haven't seen it in years though.

Yes, I love to watch the older movies. Getting all the sequals is great fun. I like to do this with ones such as The Terminator and Saw. Great flicks, but even greater when you can see the entire story.

Sometimes I like the older movies just because I know what kind of stuff is in them. With new movies, I'm unsure if my kids should see them or not. I can remember if my daughter will be able to handle the scary stuff or not. Or if it had really bad language or not. I also just like seeing stuff that I saw when I was a kid.

Most of the films I see are older ones, as I'm very slowly working my way through all the DVDs belonging to my friends! With winter approaching I guess I'll get to see more of them as the evenings are longer. I'm not bothered about watching the sequels to films. Most of the time they aren't as good as the original anyway.
