Ok Here would you cut your Hair and donate it? |
|
I was going to sell my hair as I'm behind on house payment. But I didn't I donated my hair to love locks and my hair cut was free. It looks really good. They cut off over 14 inches. So my hair is cut right up past my shoulders a little bit. everybody likes it. Would you ever donate your hair? and if not why?Happy mylotting

1. Catfreeek (242) | 8 months ago | I would have donated it when I was younger but now I'm older and it takes so long to grow it back so I probably wouldn't be inclined to do it.

onlydia (1606) | 8 months ago | I'm 48 and my hair grows not as fast but it was past my weist so off it came. I take vitamin E which helps your hair grow as well, and stays heathly. You have a good day.

2. cher913 (13099) | 8 months ago | when my 12 year old daughter was 10. she had really long hair, almost to her waste and she wanted to donate it to some kids that had cancer, so we looked on the internet and when she got her hair cut, it was in a braid, so we mailed the braid and we got a very nice thank you letter and a certificate for her troubles, but now she likes shorter hair. (it had to be over 10 inches to donate.)

onlydia (1606) | 8 months ago | Yes they told me 10 icnches. And they got 14 so that is even better. So they only need 10 inches. Good for her and you for leting her do that. Have a good day.

3. smanty (145) | 8 months ago | I would never donate my hair. I would feel very awekward giveing someone else my cut hair, and then knowing that they are useing it. It is just very weird for me, and i would much rather just throw it away...
Good Luck!

onlydia (1606) | 8 months ago | It is for people that have cancer and don't have hair anymore. And for the children with cancer. So the next time you think that it is for something wrong it is not. it is for a good cause. As they can't grow hair anymore until done with their treatments. Have a great day.

4. muscles4me (8094) | 8 months ago | My hair is already kinda short so there is not much to sell. I also color my hair and I beleuve it can not have any chemical processes on it.(your hair)
| |
| |
|
|
onlydia (1606) | 8 months ago | Yes they can get hair that has been colored as they strip it and recolor it. It is when you sell your hair that would sooner get hair that has had no chemicals added to it. And my hair would of gone for $2000.00 or more or even less. But I feel better knowing that someone is going to get a wig. and not have to be sad anymore. Your friend onlydia

5. ds6413 (1896) | 8 months ago | My b/f has really long hair. He has been growing it just to donate. My hair dresser say's he has doll hair, straight and long and never had any chemical processes done to it. Since I have had chemicals applied to my hair I probably wouldn't donate.

6. kris182_2000 (1356) | 8 months ago | I am currently in the process of trying to do both. I have an ad up on a site that you can sell your hair at.
I had one person who said that they'd help me fundraise for myself so I can donate my hair still but at the same time, raise some money for myself and charity.
I need a lot of money myself, so doing this would greatly help my situation, but at the same time, would benefit others in need.
I'm going to be cutting mine right off, all 22" of it.
| |
| |
|
|
onlydia (1606) | 8 months ago | Yes I need the money as well. But I desided that they needed my hair without the cost to them as it goes for over $1500.00 if you don't color and smoke I guess. But I felt that the People with cancer needed some help. I hope it goes good for you. And good luck

7. peavey (3646) | 8 months ago | Mine is pretty long now (middle of my back) and I don't see anything wrong with donating it. I've never seriously considered it, but if the opportunity looked me in the face, I would probably do it. Hair grows back - it's not like there isn't any more.

onlydia (1606) | 8 months ago | Yes you can I believe just go on line and get the address to mail your hair to. Or if you choose to sell the same way. I asked that in a discussion I started before when I was thinking of selling my hair. But I feel way better about donating it to people with cancer. They make wigs. no implants. You can find it on line. you have a good day.
