I bought a Topsy Turvy planter & a big tomato plant - do you think it will work?  

i never got one i plant them the old fashion way , i hope it works out for you because it seems like to you have bad luck with tomato plants so hopefully this works for you good luck and keep me posted i wanna know if it really works as good as the claim

I've never tried one and don't know anyone personally who has, but they sure look like they do on TV. I don't think it's for me, though, as I'm pretty traditional and enjoy tending a garden and it wouldn't be the same.

Since it's in a small container and very little soil it won't hold moisture very well, so I would think it would need watered every day, maybe even twice a day if it's very warm. Did you read the directions?

I have seen these advertised on TV and wondered if they work. I would like to try one also. I love home grown tomatoes. I am thinking maybe growing in one of these that maybe the worms and other pests won't get to the plants as easily. Can't wait to see how it goes for you and if I get one I will let you know.

I can't wait to find one of those near me. I love to eat them cut with salt on them or salad dressing. I do think it's going to work for you. Just believe and have faith.

I have a friend in Phoenix that bought one and he says it's really great. This is his second season using it. You'll still have to watch for worms because but they won't be much of a problem. My friend sprays water mixed with a little dish soap on the tomatoes when they get any pests and the all die or go away and soap isn't poisonous to us or the tomatoes.

yea,they do work.the thing i like is you don't have to stake them up being as they're hanging like that.
i have one i made from a plastic water cooler bottle hanging in my porch right now.
you may want to get one of those automatic watering bulbs so you don't have to keep an eye on it as much.

That is cool looking but then I have no room to hang things. I will still plant mine. Well, my roommate will. I just bought all the stuff. hoping it all turns out this year. Last year tomatoes where small and some of them split. So have to watch the water this year. I told him to stop watering. You have a great day.

Oohhhh I've been eyeing up those topsy turvy units...Please do let us know if it works out for you cause if it works I'd definately get one..or two LOL

I wanted one but cost to much for me.
and the watering part It should tell you in the instrutions how often to water I got 9 plants planted reg. way one now has a bloom on it.
If ya get cutting worms on it use Seven dust to kill them and keep other bugs away.
If lefts turn yellow not enough water at teh roots but being upside down should be watering the roots first lol Good luck with it

HI schulzie! You have to provide updates for me - I'm so curious if this will actually work. I've seen that there can be different plants besides tomatoes that can grow in the planter - did you purchase any other plants? Good luck to you and I hope you have tons of tomatoes!
