No Socks, No knickers LOL - what has Ziggy been up to now?

I think a trip to the shops is in order as the majority of our socks and pants and knickers have disappeared courtesy of my puppy Ziggy. All larger garments safe but drop a sock and its gone in an instant, I have started bulk buying same colour socks so that if he eats one I can still match up a pair but the rate he is going through underwear I think I will have to start going commando soon LOL. Have any of your pets been up to anything naughty lately? Huggles. Ellie:D

LOL. that is funny. My dog had never done anything like that before. He has been having potty issues lately though. That is on my last nerve. I think he does it in spite sometimes, plus he hurt his leg recently and does not want to go outside.

steph, How old is your baby? Mine just turned 7months. He has hit my last nerve way too many times when it comes to potty training. The last 5 weeks my right foot was first in a cast and then in a boot cast, one you can take off. It was so heavy, so needless to say I slacked off my duties. Now I'm watching his every move and trying like hell to train him. Good luck with yours. leenie

Hi ellie333 Oh dear that sounds like that could get expensive and embarrassing!! I have guinea pigs so they don't really get up to naughty things much. They do keep pulling their house away from the bars which results in it sort of collapsing. It's one of those silly houses that have only got two sides to it and you hook it under the bars so the edge of the cage creates the other two walls of the house if you catch my drift. I have given up putting it back for them!!

What IS it with dogs and underwear, or socks. My son's dog is forever licking your feet and my brother's dog, when he was a puppy and I used to go and visit, was forever jumping up at the rotary line and stealing my panties! Yuck, he used to saliva all over them so they had to be rewashed! What are they like? Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Banjo is driving me crazy! He escaped the other night; I left the bathroom window open to air, shut the door then later, I went back in and forgot to close the window. He pushed through the gauze and was out all night. He's escaped unnoticed before but he has knocked to come back in after a couple of hours...I would have been asleep and not heard him. So he is desperate to go out again. He is clawing me and digging holes in me and drawing blood...I'm his new plaything... I'm dealing with torn lace curtains and holes in the thicker ones. I have cardboard boxes lying around for him to play in. Ornaments are broken and yesterday he jumped onto the fire box while it was hot and burnt his paw...I'm told it's too dangerous for him outside...he is risking life and limb by being inside...lol.

Hi MsTickle, Animals certainly do the craziest of things eh! Sybil is a nightmare if she is in at night so I make sure they are both out, although I did keep both cats in at night for a while. Ziggy isn't as naughty as he was but I do still have to watch him all te time as the minute I don't it wll be one of my sons toys or my knickers LOL he chews instead of his bone LOL Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ellie, I have never tried that, Ziggy might need a toy! LOL! I guess it is best to put them in a place where he can't get it, no pets this time, so, we are safe from any tricks or games, but I do miss having one! LOL!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. We had to get really good at putting away our laundry. Our youngest dog eats socks and undies too! She also took to climbing up on the kitchen counter when we leave the room or take one of the other dogs out. We don't keep much food up there, but she did snag a garlic clove that she thought would make a good chew toy and a tangerine that she was tossing around as a ball. It's hard to stay mad, because it is kind of funny, but we're working on training her that she is not welcome in the kitchen anymore. Good luck!

Hi Harmonee, Well at least eating a garlic clove she will keep the fleas away but very naughty, my dog does the same if he gets the chance, I was making a ham sandwich for my sons packed lunch and went to get the ham and he'd grabbed it and ate it, my son had to go to school with bread and butter that day bless. Huggles. Ellie :D

Puppies can little devils. I have a pom-snow dog mix that liked to eat underwear and all kinds of stuff as a poppy. She outgrew most of her naughty behavior. We still have to make sure undies make it in the hamper. As a pup she chewed the strap off a brand new back pack, ate a whole basket of candy I brought home from TJ as well as half the basket. When she ate an aluminum can I though well that's it the metal shreds will tear her up inside. I couldn't afford a trip to the vet so we prepared to lose her but lo and behold she survived. Had really bad looking stool for a couple of day but was fine. She must have the strongest stomach acid ever.

I've never heard of a cross dresing dog before Ellie. But why not? Dogs have feelings too! We have no pets but we are very good at losing things. Especially socks!

Oh Ziggy ... just when we thought it was safe again - hahaha! I saw a story on telly recently where a dog was taken to the vet - and when they xrayed him, there was a bright pink, satin g-string strangulating his bowel! He's fine now - but his owner said she's much more careful about where she drops her underwear these days!

There are too many incidents to list! My dog Cassie kept leaving poops behind the TV when she was a puppy and she used to rip the washing off the line! My cat Friday ate all the buttons off my favourite robe, Rosie, cat number two vomited on my bed and Bert the bird pecked a hole on the cane shelf; that's just to name a few!

This reminds me of when my Tukay was a puppy. I kept finding my son's socks in the livingroom, which I'd pick up and put in the hamper. I didn't bother mentioning it to my son at the time, since he was a teenager and like talking to a wall. Then I started finding his knickers in the living room, too. That was too much, and I finally confronted him for changing in the livingroom after I'd gone to bed. He looked at me like I was more than a few donuts shy of a dozen. The problem persisted, and I kept talking to him about it, until one day I caught Tukay coming out of his bedroom with a pair of offending knickers. I felt bad for having accused my son so many times, but we quickly put an end to the problem by furnishing my son with his own hamper. If Ziggy is actually eating your undies, you might consider a puppy-proof hamper of some sort. He could end up with a major blockage, which would certainly be life threatening and expensive as well.

Hi Ellie, My Dexter love shoes, especially slippers. Dennis had an old pair od slippers that he finally handed over to Dexter. The rest? I'm constantly putting up so Dexter doesn't ruin something that we need. He also loves socks, underwear and any of our clothes that have our scent on them. Those things I grab right away. Dexter has a basket full of his stuffed toys. I love to se him climb on top and start digging to find the exact toy he's looking for. He is 7 months old now and wants to find a girlfriend. I gave him a stuffed bear that is a little bigger than he is so now he has a temporary girlfriend!! He's in love. Hugsss leenie

Hi ellie, Awwww that is so funny, he might been burying it in the garden, my cat Tom would get up on the bath tub and I'm brushing my teeth and he would knock the top of the toothpaste tube and off he goes playing with it, then I'll be looking for the top to screw it back on the tube and I can't find it, grrrr. Love and huggles. Tamara xxxx
