Do your kids wear uniforms to school?

Hi, my daughter wears a school uniform. I think most schools in the UK have a school uniform. I think this a good thing for many reasons but mostly for me it is easier to have my daughters uniform ready for the week and saves her own clothes wearing out. My daughter is 5 years and this is her first year at school. I was so proud of her on her first day dressed in her school uniform:)

I never put uniforms when I was go in school and I'm happy to not had to put this. I hate school uniform. I was always put convenient clothes. I know some are just put too short and too sexy clother,, for girl I mean.. and after they said" guys dont stop to watch me or .." just dont put this kind of clothes who are not convenient for school. WE are not in mode parade there. GUys sometimes are equal in that as women, they put pant under butt and we see their boxer not pretty. and they got hole in their pant or t-shirt:P Sometimes, I just said to me, why parent dont check this out!!

Our kids don't have to wear school uniforms either. I think the only one that might have to is the one christian school in town. I think it probably would be a good idea to have uniforms. Especially in our area. a lot of the schools out away from the bigger towns have a huge variety of income levels, and it isn't hard to tell who has what kind of money by what they wear. plus there are the girls who tend to get away with wearing shorts that only come to the bottom of their butt cheeks and tiny little tank tops. but i'm sure if everyone had to wear the same uniform they would still find a way to pick on other kids.

My kids go to a Catholic school so they do have to wear a uniform and I love it! They only have one week left of school and they came home today with a note saying they didn't have to wear there uniform for the rest of the year. This is so odd for their school because they are usually pretty strict about the dress code. They even have uniform socks they have to wear,. Uniforms are very convenient but they are very expensive. Luckily it is a once a year expense, unless someone has a growth spurt.

Here in our country, grade school and high school students do wear school uniforms. For me, I would like my kids to have uniforms so as to save their clothes and dresses from wear and tear. And also it would be a bit of a problem for me if my kids would always ask me to buy some clothes for them if they don't want to wear the clothes they've already worn.

My son wears uniform to school.I agree with you that student go to school to learn and not to show off their clothes.Its easier to dress them in uniforms than casuals.It saves us the trouble of selecting which dress to wear in the morning.It also saves me from fighting with my son.Me and my son sometimes fight over what he should wear.

My kids are in a convent school and its compulsory to wear the uniform othere wise they impose a fine on children, and its school decorum!

My son has gone to both types of schools. I did not mind the uniforms so much when he went. It was the fact that they had to wear WHITE shirts that I did not care for. My son was 5 at the time. I had to bleach his clothes every night.

Where I am, kids wear school uniforms throughout their schooling years. There is one thing that I have noticed especially with the girls as they get older. They try to take the school uniform and turn it into a fashion statement. One thing which is really good, they still keep it within the school colours.

Yeah my kids wear uniforms, just like a parent here, I'm so proud when I see them in their uniforms, especially that I send them to one of prestigious school here in our place. Even public schools here is enforcing students to wear uniforms. Having a school uniform distinguish students, its not about compete in fashion, it's for people awareness to where these kids are learning, or are they students,, etc..
