look up older music? We did that just this morning. My daughter was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Hubby wanted to hear the original theme song. We had seen the re runs as kids. My daughter decided she didn't like it as much. I was just pleased to be able to look it up? Ever done that?

I will have to look up You tube again, but my sound on this computer is on the blitz so I will have to use my husband's machine. It is amazing how much of the old shows are on it. And thanks for the best response.

That sounds like a fun idea. I like to look up stuff on YouTube, myself. Older kid-friendly songs, usually.

I hardly ever use Youtube for anything. I have dialup and it makes my internet run very slow. It takes forever for me to find things there or to download and play it. I only go there a couple times per year.

Yes, I do that sometimes. Just the other night I had "The Animal Song" by Savage Garden running through my head, so I went to youtube and looked it up. I have also looked up the schoolhouse rock songs for my son.

We do that! Hubby and I use it to do our own version of "name that tune". Otherwise I do look up alot of old cartoons I grew up with & my oldest loves seeing some of the old wonderwoman, muppet show, rocky& bullwinkle ect.

I have used youtube to look up older music and other things. I think that you tube is awesome in being bale to let us view some of the older stuff. On alot of them you can even watch the old cartons.

I am always doing things like this, it is such a great website. I can watch stuff that I never thought I would ever see again. I normally watch a few videos each day, it is great to check your curiosity on certain things out.

I love opera and classical and opera stars and I have found a few where they were on one of those variety shows in the 1950s to 1960s. I also watched parts of the movies of the 1960s. And of course, the Ed Sullivan Show, etc. We get a couple of old time Tv channels here and have watched the old Disney show on them, but most of the time in Youtube I look up those old Mad Songs in Opera and see how this particular opera soprano played the part of a crazy lady.

Yes, I watch a lot of old music like BoneyM, Carpenters and some of our own Bollywood songs on the youtube. Well it is the same everywhere, my children do not like any old songs, even a beautiful song like Sweet Sweet smile by the carpenters. Young people are all alike the world over.

Yes, we've looked up old tunes. For ourselves or for our kids to hear. Most recently my husband searched for the commercial song for Pink Panther Flakes. I don't even remember this cereal much less the commercial.

I use YouTube for that reason all the time. In addition to the stuff you'd expect, like music videos and TV theme songs, there's also so much other music content available like songs from old concerts or rare TV appearances...I think someone from any era could find music they like on YouTube. It's great that Universal Music and other music companies have actually been proactive about using YouTube to promote both new and old artists.

I did it once.. looked up Bobby Sherman... world's sexist idol back in the early 70's, just behind David Cassidy. Boy, those were the days when they danced cool and moved cool and sexy and dressed like they cared about how they looked... I watched the one (and kept it!) of him sining Easy Come, Easy Go and that dancing... 40 years later I still drool!! HE is a Deputy Sheriff now and works the same department my son does!
