I turned on the Tap in bed last night.

bless your heart.i know you will miss them so much and know they need to be with their mommy but i know you will hurt for a long time i will be praying for you.my mother keep my nephew like that off and on and when he went home i missed him so much he was like a little brother to me.

How old are your twin babies? I can't help but wonder why you've had them for 16 months. That would be really tough. Now it's going to be tough on you and tough on your grandkids. I'm so sorry. This is going to be a really lonely time so I guess it will give you lots more time on mylot. Just think of all the money you'll make!!LOL. Take care sweetie. Hugssss

I do know what you feel like, we had our daughter move with our granddaughter after they had lived here since our grandbaby was born. She was 14 months old when they moved. My tap ran alot then too! It still does on some days even thou we have our other granddaughter full time. We have had her since birth too and she is such a joy. Although it does have its days of exhaustion! lol

Everyone said that it shouldnt had been so hard since we had our one grandbaby full time, BUT I kept telling them it didnt replace Wynter Rose.*sigh* Getting teary thinking about it. On a good note they are finally coming for a visit this month and we are all so excited. I cry thinking of seeing them now! Im so scared something will come up and it wont happen.

Sorry I went off about us. Just wanted to let you know I do know what it feels like and it does get easier although there are those days of still something hitting and crying.

May I make a suggestion?
I know it's not possible for everyone, but webcams are neat things. If in the next few months you and your DIL could get set up with webcams you could make weekly dates to chat with the twins. I know when they are that young they probably won't sit still for very long but there is something to be said for seeing their sweet faces and smiles while you chat, and seeing their faces light up while they scream 'grammy!'. Cheaper than long distance phone calls too.
Just a thought.

Hi cythiann~ I am so sorry! I know how upsetting this is going
to be for you to let the twins go! But, they have to be with
their Mommy! They have spent enough time away from her and
I know that it must have been so difficult for her to be
without them and for them to be without her even though they
had their Grandmommy and their Daddy. I don't know what to
say to you because nothing is going to make you feel better!
Just know that I am here and so are all your friends if you

Its called life. Still it goes on. we feel sorry at moments. But we do not have control over many things in life. its one of them.

I don't have any grandbabies yet but it was extremely hard on me when my oldest son left home back in November of 2008 to go to San Antonio for basic training. We live in Georgia and 16 hours away is a long way for me. I love being just a phone call away if my children need me and because of the closeness we all share as a family, it was very hard on all of us. I do think it was worse on me because I am a woman, and on the norm we are more emotional than men, but also because he is my first born. I think I cried every day for about three weeks and sometimes after that when I would hang up the phone from talking with him. I feel for you and I will say a prayer for all of you because I am sure it will be hard on them to. Have a safe and happy holiday and God Bless my friend!

Awwww. That is so sweet. I am sure that you will miss them. I know you love them and are very close to them. Do you have any videos or pictures of them to keep while they are away?

oh! that must be hard on you granny! we all have 'Turned our taps on' at one time of our lives i mean i did it last in 1998,.when my friend left for germany.im sure she has forgotten about me now! but hey it was worth it.but since then,my taps have run dry

not quite that bad. i cant imagine what your going through. its like they have been your own children for this time. cant you go stay like as a nanny? i have lived with my daughter a few years ago and took care of the baby(hes 16 now) when he was 9months to when he was 2 yrs while she worked but she was home with us at night and on weekends. i did miss him terribley when i first had to move back to my house in another state.
