How would you react if the Obama girls were treated in the incompetent press as

Before Palin's kids were ever in pictures, the incompetent press and hyenas were already floating rumors that Trig was actually Bristol's baby, but the family was claiming it was Sarah's to cover up the pregnancy.

The slime in the press and the DNC targeted the kids long before Sarah posed with them at all.

If there is a single honest person left in the press, I wish they would stand up and say something.

I agree that it is not right are fair and that our press needs to be more concerned about the truth than they are about spreading rumors and lies about people in office and not.

They would much rather spread a rumor than worry about facts.

As you remember the RNC ASKED Sarah to run with McCain, she didn't have a gun to her head, nor was she forced to do this. You are correct in pointing out that Sarah pushed her family values, and her children onto the public stage. We all remember how Rush attacked Chelsea Clinton, but I never heard one decenting voice from the right during that time. I wonder why that is? Could you imagine if Hilary was out promoting abstinence while Chelsea was pregnant? Rush and the right wing hate mongers would have made what the press did to the Palin family look like a FOX News interview with Cheney. When all is said and done, the only person to blame here is Palin, she had the ability to stop this from happeneing, but she was so wrapped up in her career, and her future that she didn't care about what it would do to her family. Every parent knows that your kids come before you, apparently Sarah forgot about that.

Have you ever considered that as soon as Bristol got pregnant Sarah got very upset and told her "I told you this would happen if you ran around with him. I told you to wait until you are married," etc. Sarah did not persuade her daughter to have s*x before marriage. And as for the lectures Bristol is doing, I suppose some are "do not do what I did. I will never be able to go to University. I might not be able to marry the man of my dreams." And she has a baby, the example to show why she cannot do the things she would have loved.

So why not say the same about Obama? If he did not want to have his face plastered over and go traveling and campaigning, etc. but of course he can because he is a man and not only that, he is part black. And I bet if Oprah decided to run for office, you would have not said anything bad about her. Only female Republican candidates are fair game and especially if they are not black or part black.
And what about Obama's girls? That is what is unfair. Okay if you are of a certain ethnic group.
I would have rather that only men went into politics and ran for office, but I guess there were no strong Republican men who would have had the courage to run. So do not blame Mrs. Palin for stepping forward, blame the men who did not have the courage to.

The difference here is that Obama isn't complaining about how he is being treating, nor his family. The reason Palin was attacked the way she was is not because she was a women, I would have attacked Rudi Gulliani if he was talking about trust when he cheated on his wife with his kids in the same house. I would say this of ANY politicans who is upset that their family is being attacked. Like I said in my post, I never heard one republican defend Chelsea Clinton when the current leader of the republican party Rush was attacking her. Is that because rich, white men can say anything they want ("babe"), and republican women just think it is fine that they treat women like second class citizens? Your leader is a sexist pig, and he is proud of it, he has been married and divorced so many times, I don't even know which one he is right now. And he is the leader of your party!!

There were many men that wanted the job, but the RNC felt that Palin had the best chance to beat Hilary (which is who many felt was going to be on the ticket). I do blame Sarah because she could have said NO, but HER personal career was more important than her family. I would blame anyone that ran for office and had personal issues, then complained that people were bringing them to light. But, I find it hypocritical that you are going to say that the press attacked Palin because she was a women, when the leader of your party treats them worse. What do you have to say about that?

So why is it supposed to be rough on Palin's family, but not on Obama's family?

It is a problem of extremes on both sides. The Left just likes to point out the hypocrisy of the "moral" Right whenever possible to show there really isn't alot of difference in morality between those who have differing political agendas. (Except the agenda of controlling other's rights with one's own morals, of course. )

Four, ever listen to right wing hate radio? The same group that called Obama a muslim terrorist, and said that he was going to convert the country to Islam? Four, they bashed the Clinton's daugher didn't they. Even McCain got in on the fun, and yet no one on the right attacked either. It must be that you can only be upset when it is a REPUBLICAN who has their children attacked.

Debater, you keep bringing up Rush and I don't think it's right on either side but come on, the left was one angry bunch just cause of Sarah's policies and came at those kids like a pack of wolves and still do, I know Rush called Chelsea a dog and so on and I don't defend that but come on, there was some pretty low stuff out there IMO.

Rush Limbaugh did make a joke about Chelsea, but it wasn't anywhere near the lies and smeres the incompetent press has been to the Palin family... and when Rush made that one joke, the press was there to call him out for it. Spall, NO mainstream media outlet reported or repeated the vicious story about Trig. From what I understand that was started by one sick online blogger. The first I'd ever been aware such stories had existed was when I read it here on myLot after Bristol's pregnancy had been announced.
