| I have put this under this Interest, as I am finding it harder and harder to understand People This morning I took my little Dog Gissi out like I do every Morning, we are walking along, and as little Male Dogs (or big ones) he lifts his Leg to have a Pee, next thing I knew, this old Lady was poking him with a Stick, telling him not to pee on her wall , I ask her to stop poking my Dog, she says not till he stops peeing, I then ask her what her Problem is, since when there is a law that Dogs are not allowed to pee on walls, and also what am I suppose to do stop him peeing altogether? She then says to me, it is not the Dog, it is the owner, I looked at her confused and said, " I am not peeing on your wall" She tells me not to get cheeky, well that did it, I am only just slowly getting my Strength back from being very sick, I did not need this, now I have been brought up to respect my eldest I always do, but this Lady was going to far, she was still poking Gissi with the stick, so I told her not to bother starting on me and to stop poking my Dog, I then walked away as I could not trust myself to say more, ( if my Grandmother would been there and heard me, lol, I would have got a clip round the ear and then she would have given the Woman what for) I did not want to I feel awful now, but it is bad when People who do not care for Animals start having a go about a Dog peeing on the wall, Gissi is a rescue Dog, he was badly beaten in the past and I was also worried that he might turn on the Lady with her poking him like that I have to be honest I felt like taking the Stick of her and poking her with it see how she liked it Now ok when they have a poo clean it up I always do, but are we suppose to carry bucket of water and cleaning stuff now as well to clean up when they pee I have to be honest though, as I watching Gissi that he does not turn, it did not seem to bother him, but he did keep the Leg lifted longer then needed and was looking at the Woman So, what is your opinion on this one | | | | | |

| | Well, maybe a spray bottle to spray it down. I can understand her not liking the pee, but I also would not take a stick to a dog, for just as you said, he might turn mean or angry. I would make sure to walk a different way with him, so they are protected from each other. Maybe she gets lots of dogs peeing there and it smells bad and Gissi is the first one she caught.Still did not need to poke him, but could have said something in a nicer manner. | | | | | | |

| | Hi Gerty, but no one does that, I mean it is nature I normally do not go that way anyway as I prefer Gissi on the Green, but I had to go and pick all my Meds up so that is why I went that way, and yes she could have been nicer, what annoyed me more she would not stop poking Gissi | | | |

| | I am an animal lover also. I do like to take care of my property though and do not like for other pets to come in my yard to take a pee or a poop. We have all kinds of animals around our home that do so because the woners let them run loose to do whatever they want to. They even let them poop in my yard and they never clean it up either. We do. I would make sure to try not to let my dog in other peoples yards or pee or poop near their property. I would clean it up also if it happened. This lady should have kindly talked to you about it though without poking the dog with the stick. | | | | | | |

| | Hi there Steph Gissi was not on her Yard, the House on the Street or should I say pavement, so there was no yard just the wall, I would never let Gissi do anything on any ones yard or garden, as I would be out of order then As for the Poop I always clean it up, because if a Child would pick it up, or someone stepped on it I would never forgive myself so that is one thing that always gets done | | | |

| | I hate it when I hear things like this. My dog that I grew up with had it's leg broken with a stick because someone was sneaking into our backyard and got frightening and whacked his leg into two pieces. He was only a puppy. People are so insensitive and narrow minded. I have always been brought up to respect my elders too, but they seem to think that we have no choice but to deal with their cranky attitute. If that was a child having an accident in their pants on her front yard would she poke the child with a stick. I don't think so. | | | | | | |

| | Oh no that is awful, I wish they would have found the Person and broke their legs, why are People able to be so cruel to Animals, I just do not get it As for the Child, well I don't think she would have poked a child either | | | |

| | I guess she means that I should train Gissi to only pee in certain places and not walls Street Lamps and places like that That is only a guess as I am as confused as you about that one, that is why I said, I was not peeing on her wall | | | |

| | If it would have been a Garden, which I never allow Gissi to do yes I could have understood, but this was a wall of I guess her House on the Pavement I had to walk away I was so angry, now if Gissi would have reacted to it then I would have had a good go, but he was not bothered in that sense | | | |

| | Whiteheather you said exactly what i was thinking! Poking a strange dog with a stick is just asking to be bitten or growled at in the very leaast. One never knows how a dog will react to a stranger or what the dog's history was before now when its a strange animal. Even a known pet can be unpredictable. My aunt has a dog who usually loves kids and one of the neices/nephews got too much in the dogs face one day and she bit their lip. Normally Maxie is the most docile thing that anyone could crawl all over or lay on or whatever but for some reason that day she wasnt in the mood for it. I know my little dog would have turned around and tried to snap at the stick. (My uncle tried to hook her with his cane once to pet her knowing she doesnt like him and had been told she isnt fond of men please be careful and he was shocked when she took a nip at him) | | | |

| | i am sorry, gabs that you and Gissi had to go through such an experience. There are nasty old people just like there are nasty young people. There's no getting around it. The lady should never have poked your doggy. If she didn't like him peeing on her wall she could have simply voiced her displeasure. | | | | | | |

| | Well that is what I thought to, but how do you train a Dog to just pee in certain places, it is well known that they mark their Territory as such, they sniff and if another Dog has peed there they will to make a point that they have been there, am I suppose to drag the little Fellow I normally take him to the green but even then he will pee on the way there | | | |
