Where's the BABY!!!  

well, we knew she wasn't in that room because she'd've been all over the roomie with the food! We thought she might be in the kitchen, but I wasn't hearing her in there - and the roomie, by the front window was hearing her the loudest!

Gosh, i thought for sure the kittne was going to be found in the dryer too! That could have been horrible.

I have a really sad story about a cat geting stuck in a dryer...i am warning readers now, incase they don't want to read it.

When my parents first got married, my dad decided to get my mother a cat for their first anniversary present. It was a pure bred something or other that he paid quite a bit of money for. My mother had never had a cat as a pet growing up, and had always wanted one, but had no idea about how muchthey liked to crawl into warm, small places for their catnaps. One day she was doing laundry and had left the door on the dryer open for a bit while she folded and put stuff away. Appearently the cat thought this would be a great place to take a nap, as it was still warm from the previous load being dried. Later, my mother went to change laundry around again, and tossed a load of heavy wet towels from the washer into the dryer with out looking inside first (as i said, she had no idea that a cat would even think about napping in there) The cat i guess got stuck under the towels and wasn't able to make any noise or climb out before she closed it and turned it on. I will spare everyone the gory details, but suffice it to say, the cat didn't make it and my parents had to replace the dryer, my mom was devestated when she figured out what happened, my father too...my family are all hige animal lovers. We would never, ever want to harm or kill an animal, particularly a pet, it was just a very, very unfortunate accident.

well, she's still too little to get into the dryer, she can barely jump 8 inches and the dryer is more like 2 feet

she's still such a little handful, she's easy to "over look" since she's only about a pound!

We'd've been HEARTBROKEN if any thing happened to her

she is so cute, just 5 weeks old, an adorable little fluff ball!

right now... 29, but the 3 feral kittens will be going to the horse barn after they are fixed, shots and notched.

OMGOSH, I DON'T SEE HOW U FEED THAT MANY, I SURE COULDN'T. U are like my grandmother, she had a love for cats like that. Most of hers stayed outside but she loved them.

well, I don't think she realized that she was outside until we went back inside - then she got upset

she's really too little to too interested in exploring in a big scary place

At your little baby's age, she fortunately isn't interested in much more than being close to mama or her people. If you're lucky she won't show interest in being outside later...providing she remembers having the wits scared out of her yesterday morning! I still hold my breath realizing how small she is and how easy it would be for her to go out in the street! At her age and size she would be sooooo hard to see if you're driving a car . Thank God you found her so fast!

Give her a gentle hug for me...and a kiss if you give 'em kisses.

Thank you for the BR. I was reading through the discussion and the thought of trying to give my herd a bath is a little daunting. Three of them haven't had baths before so it would be like bathing steel wool that is going through a blender at super high speed with the lid off.

I also opened my big fat flappy mouth too soon, just after I wrote this Dinglebeary escaped again. I think he found a way out the patio door during the windstorm. I managed to catch him and bring him in the house, but I think part of that was that he was frantic to get back in the house. Right now the cats aren't allowed out on "their" patio until I get the floor replaced and start redoing the screens. But since it's cold they aren't complaining too much.

I keep my cats inside too - but this little pound of fluff managed to get out anyway!

the good news is that I haven't seen a loose dog since the pitbull b*tch disappeared - she wasn't a bad dog tho, seemed like a shy girl... And the kid across the street would've probably come and told me if he had seen her, he's not a bad kid, and is kind of the leader of the kids because he's been here the longest (since he was born actually) so those dangers might not have been as bad as the cars...

When we realized that she had gotten out we were shaken, she only discovered she could get into the front room yesterday and she just toddled out after us when we went out the front door.

Like I said...so glad you found her...good thing she was meowing loud enough for you to hear her
