Fox News bomb! Little clip about PETA making these things called UNhappy meals with tshirts that say McCruelty and I'm hatin it?!
Come on! For those of us who already think you're whacked, this is beyond. No, I am not a vegetarian, do you think this is going to steer me toward your cause? NO WAY. Either way you won't convince everybody, no matter what. Campaigns like this are just going to make people cringe even more.
What say you? What could you possibly add that might make some sense? Because this doesn't, not at all. By the way, I don't want you near my daughter either. Ranting against McDonalds. Really really mature. NOT.
I don't even go to Mcdonalds that often but guess what? I am now craving a big huge angus third pounder!!! And ten double cheeseburgers. With bacon. Bite me.

You are so funny! I was vegetarian last year for about 6 months and did lose weight and felt less bloated but this was for health reasons. However, I could not resist the hams and turkey at Christmas and so 'backslided' (may be the appropriate word). I would love to be vegetarian but it all takes so long to organise and unless I had someone cooking for me I don't think that I could manage it. Each to his own - that's what I say, so, where are we meeting for those hamburgers?
I have never had an angus third pounder. Never heard of it either!

McDonalds!! McDonalds has angus third pounders! You don't have McDonalds there?
When I got back in shape after I had been lazy for approx two years (my daughter was 2), I worked out and dieted some too, but I never did anything crazy, my 'diet' was in moderation, it was a lifestyle shift. I did eat more fruits and vegetables and better grains, not all whole but better, but I never cut out things like meat, fish, eggs, dairy, salt, sugar, or caffeine. Healthy to me is balance, excluding or cutting out anything is NOT balance. Anyway, I lost the other 12 lbs and am in much better shape than I had been even before getting pregnant. I just maintain now, but I've relaxed more in regards to diet. I have learned though if I ever decide to cut out anything, then that is all I crave, and I go nuts, overboard, obsessed, which is why I just don't do things like that any more. I don't understand people who do, people who choose to eat no meat, no carbs, no fruit, no sugar, no caffeine, etc etc.
Anyway, I might just be weird, who knows, but I have the feeling more people are like me and part of the reason some of them cannot seem to stick to a fitness and diet program is because they try to do too much too soon, or cut out things when all that does is make them obsess over whatever they cut out lol.

The McCruelty campaign worked on me and my co-workers. We have all agreed not to eat at McDonald's until they agree to adopt humane slaughtering practices for their chickens. It will cost McDonalds pennies per bird and we would gladly pay two cents more per happy-meal or chicken nugget meal for cruelty-free food.
Also, I see nothing wrong with teaching children about activism and animal rights. Parents are supposed to pass on their values to their children.
PETA does some outrageous things to get attention for their cause, but most of the time people take PETA's actions out of context and misrepresent their message.
When asked if they would pay someone to torture animals, 90% of people said "absolutly not". Buying animals treated inhumanly IS paying others to torture animals. If you know this behavior is going on, it becomes your responsibilty. Blaming the farmers and then buying their wares makes you culpable.
Also, getting back at PETA by buying tortured food is just silly. Why don't you write them a letter instead?

Well, first of all I don't believe ANY person on the face of this earth has any business trying to get me or not get me to eat something or not eat it. What I eat and where I shop etc is my business and my business only. I don't have a need to research and find out what different businesses or establishments do or don't do, and I do not boycott places based on their practices either. If I like chicken or burgers and I want chicken or a burger, I'll go somewhere and get it. Animals raised for food are raised for food. They aren't raised as pets and costs are out of control as it is. Everybody says they are getting screwed and everybody probably is, from the original place that got the animals as babies to the consumers who buy the meat in the grocery store. There is no reason the costs should be as high as they are, but they are. Until that is under control, I'm not going to advocate spending more money or doing things differently that are going to cause a spike in the price to consumers or a supply problem.
I also see nothing wrong in teaching my children that some animals are pets and loved as much as family members, some animals are grown as food and that's what they are, FOOD. If you don't eat meat, that's your business, but I don't appreciate PETA getting in the media and scaring people or using drama to create followers. Anyway, there is nothing 'silly' at all about me going about my business and getting a meal. I just wish EVERYBODY would just go about their business and get their meal or maybe not get their meal and not have anything else to say about it. It is offensive when people are going about having an issue with what someone eats or buys. I would NEVER have said anything if a big deal hadn't been made by PETA ALREADY.

Hey mommyboo! I am LMAO! You know that I am such an animal
lover and hate that animals are tortured! But, I am also a
miserable hypocrit because I was fed a burger and steak when
I was a child and I now crave the taste of meat, especially
beef and chicken! I now! I hate myself too! I'm sorry PETA!
It's one thing for me to agree that I won't wear fur, but
damn it I can't help it that I love beef! I hate myself for
it but it isn't my fault! And everytime I eat beef I tell
myself that I am a bad person and all the rest! Oh crap, I
even tell myself what my friend told her daughter who refused
to eat meat, except steak because she thought steak came from
a steak tree! Whatever works! I'm going to hell! I'm sorry
all you sweet little cows and chickens out there, but you
taste so damn good! Stop laughing mommyboo!

Sweet little cows and chickens!! A STEAK tree...lmao!!! Yes Opal, there really is a steak tree. I have one in my yard. It has baby steaks every spring.
I'm not sorry... I mean I don't have furs and I wouldn't wear them either. I think it is mean to raise animals to take their fur. I don't think it's a problem to raise animals strictly for food. We need food. We don't NEED fur.
I don't think you should hate yourself for liking meat! I certainly don't hate myself for liking meat. I don't apologize. Why should I? LOL!

I cringe every time I hear or read the word "PETA"
they are so blatantly stupid it makes me want to puke
their tactics are less than tactful and sometimes offensive
and lets not talk about how hypocritical they all are
they think they are so much better than us carnivores but really they enjoy animal products just as much as everyone else, they just dont realize it
man I could go for a nice big juicey ribeye right now extra rare

PETA is always a little extreme. Can you believe that they sent an email to their fanbase asking them to BOYCOTT CANADIAN MAPLE SYRUP in order to cripple their economy and sway them to ban the seal trade? Oo
I mean, nobody likes cruelty to seals, and all that, but this is just warfare.

Ugh, they have a fanbase? Seriously? I don't boycott anything unless I dont PERSONALLY like it. I would never boycott something because a group says I should or there's a political reason, or anything like that. Say I don't like anchovies, well I won't buy anchovies but if some group said 'don't buy such and such in support of us', even if I supported them, if I LIKED or WANTED the product, I might buy it anyway. It's just creepy what people do to influence each other.

Well PETA is just another extremist organization rife with hypocrisy. They kill the vast majority of animals they take just because they don't have space for them or can't find people to adopt them.
I really don't care much about their pathetic campaigns, but this one involves them going after children which is just disgusting. They will actually try and get kids away from their parents so they can give them these bloody unhappy meals. Their director is demented too. I've seen this woman in interviews and she's more than happy to traumatize children if it helps them raise more money.

I think anybody who traumatizes or terrorizes children is bad. This includes PETA, environmental groups, pro-life groups, religious groups, and politicians in general. I feel that PARENTS are the only ones who should be influencing children in those arenas. I will not have anybody telling my daughter there is no easter bunny, no santa claus, that people shouldn't eat meat, or drive cars, etc or that people go to hell. Hell is reserved for people who open their mouths to make comments like that to KIDS!
There was an incident where a religious group one time attacked an Easter bunny at a public venue, ripped apart his costume, beat him up, and went about yelling to the screaming crying kids that 'the easter bunny doesn't exist'. I am truly glad I was not a parent present because first of all I would NEVER want my daughter exposed to criminal idiots such as those people. Also, those people would be sorry they had crossed my path after that as well.
I don't have a problem with them believing what they want, but to me that is personal, it has nothing to do with other people, and they need to keep it to themselves! I have the same disgusted gut reaction to people who go about waving political signs - against gay marriage - for instance, and include their CHILDREN who have no idea what they are even doing - young school age kids wearing tshirts proclaiming whatever slogan their parents or the group their parents belong to. It is disgusting. I don't think involving or influencing minors this way is acceptable and it should be considered illegal. There's no informed consent, the kids don't even KNOW what they are accepting or promoting!
