inspite of communicating with them for quite some time?Do you have to type their names letter by letter still? Is it annoying for you that these friends of yours have chosen such difficult usernames?

Sometimes I do especially when their names are long and with many numbers and letters together so I just try to type only the fist name I see or sometimes I address them by just a hello, and this is the reason why I have a short name.

Hi balasri, your lovely nickname is short and easy for me to remember. I could type it out without any difficulty. I like to say hi followed by the name of the discussion creator before typing the content. I feel comfortable to communicate in this way, seems like you are listening to what I’m sharing with you now If come across any user name with long combination of letters and numbers, I don't feel annoyed. I usually would type either the front part or end part, or let go the number of it. Happy posting

Thanks for the sweet words balasri. I feel like just having a sip of honey It’s so nice to know that my user name would make you to recall the Japanese flower arrangement. This is the first time I hear the word lkebana. The word given here has aroused my interest to learn more about it. After googling, I then come to know more about the Ikebana. I had seen pictures of the beautiful Japanese flower arrangement there as well. Thanks for giving me such good opportunity to learn new thing my friend. I never thought that I could get extra information after replying this wonderful topic Have a nice weekend!

Not at all Bala. If it's just a few letters like yours and some of the other wonderful friends, it's always so easy and a pleasure to type here.

I think everyone knows lickle old wolfie! One thing I do regret though is having the number after my name, 34, the reason I did that was my age, but obviously having thought it through properly it would change, I can't always be 34, in fact now I am 38, so the 34 is useless. But I can't change it so I am stuck with it. I guess at the time I didn't think I'd hang around! Otherwise it would have just been wolfie, far easier for everyone I think. I also think it's nice to communicate with my friends by their real name which is more personal I think, or shortened name.

I usally do not have any trouble typing my friends names here at Mylot. I always look at the computer keybopard when typing anyway. I find it fairly easy to type when looking at the keys.

some usernames can be quite confusing, hard to remember, and down-right outrageous. I kept mine nice and simply. Danishcanadian... reflects who I am, matches my avatar, and is very easy for people to type. Some say I'm not as creative as others, but no one has ever complained that my screenname is hard to remember.

Hello balasri. When I find it hard to type my friends' usernames, I will use the short form by typing the initial letters, which makes it easier for me. For short usernames, there is no problem for me to remember and type them. I think that short form is a good way though. Have a good day, friend.

Hi Bala, You are right some members have difficult user names to type it out. You know what I am doing, for responding to them I use a ‘hi’ but if those members are not from my friends list and responded to me then I have to type their whole name while commenting back. I may type the whole name by checking repeatedly so that errors won’t come.

I have good memory for the spelling of my good, regular friends like you balasri! There is the odd one that I resorted to copying and pasting it in case I misspell it! It doesn’t bother me all that much really because eventually the new names become familiar and then there is no problem.

Dear balasri, Hahaha, you seems to know how others feel! Normally I will write part of the name skipping the numbers that follow eg. iriene88, I will just type Iriene or if I know the person name is Siva and kumari is the girlfriend's name which make sivakumari as user name, then I will just type Siva,... If the name are too difficult to write, I will still try but once reached the discussion thread whereby the name no mor appeared to be referred, the I will just type : Hi, Thanks and do keep in touch. Hope to hear your vicew on my topic too!

Actually it doesn't bother me since I type so fast. I think some of the names are a hoot. My screen name in myLot is my real first name and last initial. Was anxious to join 3 years ago and really didn't think a good name through so this one came to mind and it works. It's easy enough to remember so people tell me. Have a great day, carolbee

Hi Bala! You are very right, some of the screen names of dear friens/mylotters are really difficult to type or remember and I find this difficulty quite often. If the name is too complex, I just mention three-four initial letters of that mylotter, while participating in discussions. I wonder, why cannot some people choose simple log in names for our convenience..............LOL!. BTW, Yours is the most simple and easy one.

I don't type people's names very often and people usually abbreviate mine to writer or writers except one guy who calls me sedge instead of edge. So it's not a problem for me.

Hi bala, fortunatley that hasn't happened to me but guess if they have difficult names I always look at their name while spelling it so I don't make a mistake..LoLo

Hi bala, I just shorten their names like some user just calls me Tam, it sounds nice and friendly, as sometimes user names can be so long and you can misspell it it and that is not nice. Tamara

Hey bala! I think that is a funny question! And it is true that some of the usernames are certainly a bit difficult to type! Some just because they are very long and have alot of confusing letters! But, I have been a typist for many years and it really doesn't matter what letters that I type I know where the keys are (at least usually)! But, I am just thankful that I don't have to try to pronounce some of them because then I would really be in trouble!

As you have mentioned pronouncing some names are definitely more difficult than typing.
