1. mzz663 (1040) | 4 months ago | I rarely iron. I take t shirts out of the dryer while they're still damp and put them on a hanger. I don't think anyone should have creases in their jeans....I can't remember why i have an iron.....

mzz663 (1040) | 4 months ago | I've hung shirts up on a hanger that were damp and it does take the wrinkles out as they dry. I rarely do this because they feel stiff. I try to get shirts out of the dryer as soon as they're dry, before the dryer cools down. No wrinkles.

2. wolfie34 (13882) | 4 months ago | Hi Andrew, well the thing is with ironing, I can't iron! Can't iron for toffee, I actually end up with a garment with more creases in it after ironing than there was before! So it's a case of Can't Iron, Won't Iron! I can do any other job (apart from cleaning windows) except ironing, fortunately I am able to hang my clothes out after washing them in the Summer and they don't need ironing, or I will hang them up straight away, I do get away without ironing, as most of my clothes don't need ironing thankfully! I always look smart in a casual way too.

AndrewFreyne (2546) | 4 months ago | Hi wolfie, I can certainly relate to you on that note! I really find ironing boring to tell you the truth! I would much rather pay some chap or lady at the local dry cleaners to iron my clothes, I hear that they offer those services now! This is quite funny because I was in the Sea Cadets during my teenage years and I remember ironing such sharp creases in my uniform that they felt like a knife edge! That is history though and I really don't want to give the time of day to ironing anymore! Andrew

4. o0Tora0o (261) | 4 months ago | For me, it really depends on the T-shirt in question. If it's one of my casual, bum-around-the-house shirts, I really don't care. I've been known to wear those after they've been balled up in drawers for ages. If they're wrinkly, it doesn't matter to me.
If it's one of the company T-shirts I wear to work, on the other hand... I have to pay attention to what it looks like. Coming to work in wrinkled shirts just doesn't cut it. I usually hang those shirts as soon after washing them as I can. I rarely have to iron anything, but I do have an iron for those rare times when I need one!

AndrewFreyne (2546) | 4 months ago | That certainly makes a lot of sense! Thankfully I have never had to wear a work T-Shirt but that definitely makes sense, a work T-Shirt should always be ironed! I also wear certain t-shirts around the home that I never really bother about in terms of ironing. As mentioned somewhere else in this discussion my iron is constantly gathering dust and serves only as an overweight paper weight! Andrew

5. katsalot1 (878) | 4 months ago | I do iron my T-shirts, for two reasons - they look better and you can more in a drawer when they've been ironed. If you use a tumble dryer and hang them up straight away, they don't usually need ironing. I very rarely use a dryer, preferring to dry things outside on the line, but my dryer is very old and shrinks most things anyway - so putting T-shirts in it is a bad idea!

katsalot1 (878) | 4 months ago | Well, if you're happy with not ironing that's great. I wouldn't if I could get away with it! Unfortunately, I have no hanging space left, and couldn't fit any more t-shirts in the drawers if they weren't ironed.

6. Preciousgem (1111) | 4 months ago | We have the rules in the house now, after i wash the clothes that i wear if i go out, we hang it and do not iron for now, but before we iron it before wearing it, but if the clothes are often wear for school like uniform for teacher and for my brother to school, i should iron it.

AndrewFreyne (2546) | 4 months ago | That sounds like a good plan to me! I've had my iron for so long that it's one of those old ones but it seems to do the trick whenever I make the effort to iron something! I guess school uniforms are important and should be ironed although I never wore a school uniform whilst I was at school, very casual, that was me! Nice chatting with you. Andrew

7. ladym33 (5498) | 4 months ago | There is no need to iron them. I put them in the dryer until they are just a tiny bit wet still and then I hang them. That way they are always nice and wrinkle free. I also do that with my husbands collard golf shirts, and even his dress pants the new fabrics of today are very friendly that way, just hang them when they are still a tiny bit wet and they will stay nice and no need to get that annoying iron out.

AndrewFreyne (2546) | 4 months ago | Hi rosepedal, this all seems like a tremendous task to me! I wish I had more enthusiasm for the task of ironing! It's just so easy to take my t-shirts out of the wash, hang them up, wait until they are dry and then get dressed quickly regardless of the wrinkles! If I'm meeting up with someone for the first time though, maybe a total stranger then I think that I would make more of an effort to iron the wrinkles out of my T-Shirts. Nice talking to you again. Andrew

rosepedal64 (1438) | 4 months ago | There are several T-Shirts in my wardrobe and the thought to hang them up after they are washed and dryed, just sounds like a lot of work for me. I guess we have something in common. We both always look for the easy way. I don't mind to do that do you? Have a good day...
